Yeah, I don't really get it. The food isn't doing anything much for the photo.
I like the caravan-camera much more. -

Yeah exactly. His composition isnt the best around (imo) but fuck me the way he achieves it is incredible. Developing those images must be such a feeling...

Not easy metering in snow either, did you meter for highlights?
-
• #18986
I just used the DF to get a rough meter reading and erred on the side on underexposed / protect the highlights. Seems to have worked well.

I've been lurking on the forum for a while and stumbled across this thread. It seems like a lot of people are becoming fed up with instagram/the rest and are looking for other places to share images and I thought hey thats me. Really enjoying everyones photos, here's a few from the last 6 months. Thanks!

I shot a roll of Portra 400 NC today. It was darkish, so I underexposed planning to push +1. I forgot that it's expired and I should be pushing anyway. Balls. +1.5?

Nice.

2-4 are under by quite a bit. Hence the casts. Shooting slides in snow is mega tricky. Don’t worry about blowing snow though ... it’s white.

At a lab? Whole stops only. Probably 2 stops. Expect rather low overall contrast.
How you metered and how the film was stored will make most difference.

This, basically.
As @Turkish mentioned already he's just changing the bellows for melon / bread / pineapple / whatever.
Do like some of his images as I said but the whole approach is pretty much "HEY LOOK WHAT I DID"I like the caravan-camera much more.
Yeah that looks really neat, yet this has already been done back when Bic Macs were still being sold in those styrofoam boxes so he's just using an old idea and riding the nostalgia train.

Do you think that is what he was thinking when filing down a melon to have two perfectly parallel surfaces? :D
