Contax T2, amazing lens and feel durable. The only downside is the hipster tax
Seeing a lot of hipsters in Berlin with these indeed.
Most look as if they're not sure which button to press on the fucking thing to be honest. -

I know the feels man. I paid £125 for a fucking Mju! That's why I feel like I should just buy a 35mm SLR.

It's seriously crazy how prices have exploded in the last 4 years.
Imagine I bought my Mju-II in as-new condition with box, strap and everything for €40 incl. shipping in 2014..
Basically the good ones cost two to five times as much now, and they're become scarce at the same time.Seriously kicking myself for selling my XA and my T4, and for giving my T3 to a friend (who went ahead and broke it).

..seriously though you maybe should do this, and do it soon.
Bodies and especially lenses in good condition are getting scarce as well. When I last checked what a simple Nikon EM with a Series E 50mm costs now I also was like WTF

Oh my god, just checked. £150 now with three days left!?

Go check what a Minolta TC-1 goes for now..

Kendall Jenner and the Contax T2 is old news pal, thought you were some big shot influencer, you should know these things?
-

Do we know each other ? But yeah sure, here's the link (I should upload it on my website).
I'm always ashamed about the mju prices because I used to buy cheap Mju 2 on flea market for 5 to 15€, and sell it very expensive (like 130 to 150€) to hipsters. I've even made a little zine about "all the mju i've had", pictures of the camera in my ad mixt with the official manual. But I still find 20€ mju 2 on flea market because there was a huge production and many sleeping mju.

I used to want one but when I thought I might have the cash recently I found they've literally more than doubled in price, at least in Japan.

Suspect it's more likely some shoddy scanning with the film not flat on my part.

giving my T3 to a friend (who went ahead and broke it)
Ouch, sad story.. : (
Anyway, I'm enjoying my T2 but the Ricoh GR1 is a serious contester and can be more affordable : https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ricoh-GR1-35mm-Point-Shoot-Film-Camera-28mm-from-Japan-Apperarance-Mint-1181/273143486358?epid=85049383&hash=item3f989ed796:g:Vn4AAOSwwq1axYbt (despite the light meter)

I'm going to Japan in May, maybe have you some recommendations in Tokyo ? For camera, book and analog film and paper shop.
-

Ah oui ! That was some time ago so now I'm little critic about it.
Phew, the GR1 is expensive for a non totally working camera... I think nobody can service it today.
