Some photos from my recent cycle tour, all taken on either yashica T5 or leica mini. They are all wonky and dirty though as I scanned in from photos. Literally have hundreds so only scanned in 36 for now.

Looks like a lovely trip.

Wish I was still out there. Annoying thing is that when I scanned them in the scanner changed things like colour and brightness.

FOR SALE:
Epson V330 ScannerI purchased this on Amazon and it was delivered yesterday. Unfortunately for me, it only scans 35mm and mounted slides - I was looking to use it for medium format negatives.
Hence i'm looking to sell it and figured this would be a good place to start.
ASKING PRICE: £65 (I paid £80)
Pickup available from stockwell or near the tate modern, I'd prefer not to post this.
Please PM me if interested.

Isn't that a flatbed scanner?
you can use it to scan medium format easily, just you won't have a holder for the film to go in.e.g. just make sure both the film and the scanner are completely free of dust, mount the negative perpendicular to the edge of the scanner, scan and crop in photoshop...

google how to make your own neg holders (they use tiny clothes pegs if i remember correctly)
it's good to get the neg a mm or two above the glass to minimise moaré

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a bit of a play around with it. Offer for sale is still open (but the product may have had a bit more use between now and sale time...)

Have just picked up my old SLR from my mum's house - Ricoh KR-10 Super. Vintage! Really looking forward to using it but I've pretty forgotten how it all works so will need to relearn everything. As I recall it has some kind of imperfection in the lens, maybe a chip or something? All the pictures end up marked with a little notch in the top right corner. But you know, I love it anyway.

Its not "vintage" yet. I have one. ;)
Its old, but even an OM1n isn't vintage yet. Excellent though. -

I reckon it was probably made the year after I was born so it's more a reflection of me feeling my age than any intrinsic property of the camera itself!
I didn't know anything about cameras when I first got it and haven't really learned anything much about them in the years since then but from what I can find about them on the net now they seem to have a good reputation. Wish it had a manual shutter mode like the non-super KR-10 though, I've no idea where to look to find replacement batteries.

I went a bit nuts the other day and taxed the credit card with a used Leica M6 and a Ziess 50mm f2 Planar.
I had really been enjoying the little Canonet I have been using recently so I decided to take the full rangefinder plunge and get me an M.
So far I love it. The rangefinder is so much better than on the Canon and it makes focusing a snap. Also using the internal meter to set the manual exposure is becoming almost second nature, so you forget it is totally manual, as you just put your eye to the viewfinder and set aperture/shutter speed and focus in an instant. I still need to glance at the top plate quite often to check that I haven’t selected to slow a shutter speed, but that is not too much of a distraction.
If I am honest at least half the reason for the purchase is because for years I have just wanted to own a film Leica. I love beautiful mechanical things that you can use on a regular and this camera fits the bill.
The sudden increase in film I have been using has also led me to develop my own for the first time in 20 years (last did it at school when I was 12). It is quite fun to experiment with different films and developers etc.

I don't know if this is the thread for it (I'm not a photographer myself), but Selim has finally produced a website of his work, most of it is focused around couriers, some is digital and some is film. Have a look, me know what you think.

Wasn't there a 'photographers of the forum' thread around somewhere? I just tried searching for 'photographers' but didn't find it. Then again, I may have been thinking of 'Services offered by forumengers'. You could post it there, too, Nhatt.

Nhatt its a good website, but if I can be honest, I'd suggest losing the bit about the degree. I think it should he added when he's finished it. It can give potential clients the opinion that he's still a "student"......and for someone looking to pay serious money for a product/service, the tag of 'student' may be off-putting?
Potential clients will place an order based on his portfolio, word of mouth recommendations, his checkable client-list, and his pitch to a Director of Communications....for example. Possibly his web portfolio could be tightened up just a little bit, so as not to give the feeling of any possible duplications.
I'll add him to the Services thread later, when I'm at a PC.

If his ECMC work is reportage shouldn't what an ECMC is be explained by his work? All and all I think the site is text heavy for a site looking to get him work as a photographer.
But I'm not an art dir/ photo editor
