Thanks, had a look through and doesn't seem too bad to get to the aperture mechanism. Will put a roll through it and see what it's like before I attempt a repair.

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a Contax RX they are looking to sell?
-
• #13354
I've repaired an XA2.
Lots of tiny screws (you'll need precision screwdrivers) but easy enough to get in.
Don't lose the ball bearing thing for the sliding cover.

Here you go..... should have focused further away but quite happy with it.

My local oxfam has a load of filters, manual shutter clicker things, bags and a couple of film cameras for sale.
I doubt any of it is a super bargain but can get some pics if people are interested?
Box of 10 assorted filters was £7 for example. -

..nice! Next time both legs in the water?
;-)Also I like these half frame panoramas, would consider spacing out the images evenly though..
-
• #13359
Funny, I thought it was equally spaced, but looking again they're obviously not.
-
• #13360
Equally in the sense that it's "thick - thin -thick -thin -thick - thin - thick".
: ] -
• #13361
Yeah, don't know how I didn't see that before!
-
• #13362
Also, when looking at the hi-res on flickr I see that the thin ones are solid black, while the thick ones have like a gradient from black to dark grey?
This didn't happen in camera (you didn't 'scan' the whole strip in one piece with your setup, did you) ?
-
• #13363
Again, now you mention it, I see that two. These were scanned as 35mm frames and then added together in Photoshop, that's where the uneven spacing came in. The less black bars are scanned and the more black ones are digital. I'll re-do it tonight and post the result. Thanks for the feedback, I genuinely appreciate it.

I have a TLA20 flash and TTL cable for these if that's useful. I've just sold my 139Q.
-
• #13370
£100 on its own. £110 with a flash. £160 with a 50mm 1.7 lens and a flash. Body is mint.

It's really nice.
I like to pretend I'm in a big house by the sea and looking through a windowfront (the black bars being the frames of the windows).
I'm not that a huge fan of panoramas normally, but spent quite some time looking at this one.. -

Only my second batch scanned from my M3, the first lot were all fine, this lot though seem to be a bit leaky. Still like them though.
And some really crazy ones
