That's very David Lynch.
The step in the floor took me a minute to get my head around. -

Half frame / full frame. Interesting camera, anyone else ever shot one?
-
• #13204
My father used to use them a lot, I presume to make slide film go further. As you'd expect quality isnt as good as full frame.

Cheers BRO.
I was shocked anything came out at all... wasted about 10 shots because I expected the whole film to be white noise. Damn it.

C'est la vie. It was worth the sacrifice for that shot, imo.

Yep, I haz the same one.
tis a a bit slow for focus etc what with that little lens cover having to slide away to let you fire, but it seems like a well made bit of kit.
I ran one film of cheapo Kodak 100 through it but I've still not got round to processing it so I can't tell you anything about the results....
It's the only half-frame 35mm I've used so I don't know if the portrait/landscape reversal is the same on all halframes, or whether it's peculiar to a switchable camera but I found it a little bit of a headfuk.....
It would be ace if you could switch between full and half-frame, but even if you had a change-bag I think the little yellow lever sits behind the film - worth a check though cos that'd be quite cool. -

Returning to previous conversation re: Leica iii, I picked this one up at a camera auction on Thursday.
Rather excited.. Needs a clean first and then it'll be stashed away until my birthday in April.Any recommendations for CLA? I've been recommended Aperture on Rathbone place - should i be speaking to anyone else (or indeed doing it myself)?

I usually only do that when drunk so less fucks are given. On the other hand, the photos are always shit.

Ever had anyone kick off? I'm always worried... I remembered asking some group at the Bar at Craig Davids pool party in Ibiza to take a photo of them and one of the mega slagggggz said no as I was prob going to jerk off to it. She wasn't wrong! But thats not the point...
(She was wrong, I rolled my eyes and just bought another beer...) -
• #13218
Nah, people either don't care at all or just say they'd rather not. If you even ask. Usually they just look away and do rolley-eyes.
It's probably best to get some form of implied consent by being a bit charming/bantery and not giving them any time to think too much about it.

That looks rather lovely, I shoot with an M4 / Summicron 50mm F2 sometimes and it a great combo.

You should have bought (and drank) the 'another beer' before asking for the photo ..... now your tube rides aggravate your Craig David Pool Party Syndrome.

Anyone have a Pentax k1000/Spotmatic, Canon AE-1 or similar. Gf wants to get into shooting and was after an entry level film camera. Cheers.

As I told here earlier, I was tempted by a new rangefinder pocket camera.
Just bought a 10€ Agfa Sensor 500 which seems really nice, and even still have a battery so fully working. I'll keep you up about it...
A. K. A. Big Red Button.

There were some crazy Agfa camera designs. Mostly with very good lenses. ^ this one isn't a rangefinder. I think the 1535 was the last rangefinder. I have the 935 – the last thing they made in Germany. It's a viewfinder camera, zone-focus and motorised. It's bonkers. Imagine an Olympus XA2 crossed with a Transformer.
