Haha, the second one is great.

Yeah, first time I've has good success with shooting the Rollei handheld..... Lots of light and smaller F numbers help.

Didn't realise it was a challenge with a TLR... That's enlightening.

I have to give the Mamiya 7 back next week (borrowed it) and have a feeling I'll miss it. Been looking at Rollei's etc but didn't even think that they might be tricky handheld...

It's only because I'm not good at tracking focus on the Rollei, so either need static subjects and use shallow DOF or if things are going to move (like Lana and Molly) then lots of light and Sunny 16 makes critical focusing less...... critical if that makes sense.

Is the Mamiya an SLR? Autofocus?

Ah, got ya... The Mamiya is a rangefinder - so not only was it my first time using medium format, but using a rangefinder as well. Nervously waiting to see the results...

I love using a rangefinder (XA, Leica M4), but never used a Mamiya. I just struggle to snap focus on the Rollei. I look forward to seeing your results.

Back from my holiday got 5 rolls to develop and scan in so expect some photos soon!

Wheres the best place to look for your stolen camera? Has anyone had some great stories where they've found them for sale online?

I guess practice makes perfect, but it indeed isn't easy with that dim matte screen, especially with moving subjects (just shot a few frames of a 9 month old that started crawling towards the camera every time I pointed it at her).
Without the loupe I would go nuts I think.
