7dayshop isn't as good as it used to be for film, but Fuji Superia 200 pack of 5 for £15 is ok http://www.7dayshop.com/products/fuji-superia-200-135-36-colour-negative-print-film-5-pack-SP2365PACK - they post to Germany (don't know how much)

Thanks for the heads up, it's cheaper for me ordering from a german shop though..

I for one was disappointed by Superia 200, way too contrasty and saturated for my taste.
If you are after a bargain you may consider Fujicolor 200 from Fotoimpex in Berlin - for just 2 euros a roll I can't imagine anything cheaper from a top quality manufacturer.

Thanks Ghibli ..yea I shot Fuji C200 a bit, 1-2 years ago..
would not say it's bad, but I was hardly ever happy with the colours.
Just dug in the archives, realized it very well might have just been my fault (me shooting shit in shit light). In all fairness it was winter in Berlin, so there's only so much you can do!
Here's one.. -

Not my own image, but whilst reading up on Alaska I stumbled across this picture of a town called Unalaska. The colours are just perfect.

Love the one with the dog in the field, for various reasons. Nice!
Comments / criticism: Last one you posted is leaning to the right like a drunk bavarian, would also benefit from greater depth of field, and maybe -1 exposure compensation..

Really like this image, and a nice set, found after the mention of Mary Ellen Mark a few pages back

These colours remind me of Ektar, it has a bit of this fantasy surreal palette

Loving the colours in the first one..

Not sure whether to post in Photo of the day or in here, guess more of the film folk will appreciate.. so here's a british photographer whose work pretty much swept me off my feet - I guess a lot of you guys from the UK will be familiar with him already, but anyways:
Richard LearoydThere's some more (partly NSFW) images here for example, and a bit about his process here - in case you were wondering what kind of "effect" that is in his images..
:-PI just spent the majority of the day shooting an event (digitally) and editing the images, and while it was all good, and I'm happy with my work - when I just saw this I want to say fuck all this shit I'ma go shoot only large format from now on..

Exquisite face..., and very homoerotic in the ethereal style of Visconti. But a very bad portrait imo. I strongly dislike the framing which I feel as compressive and tensional, and the extremely short perspective contributing to the unpleasant sensation.
À chacun son goût I guess

It's a crop from a larger frame.
I think I felt a similar way about it at first, but then the "compressive and tensional" is actually a really good thing in my opinion. It feels "against the grain" to me. In a good way.
Give it a bit more time maybe. -

A crop you did or he did?

He did. I would not dare cropping people's work.
It's the background image of his website. -

Loving the lens flare here, especially on the shot with the shoes.
..after seeing IzMota's nice colours I checked how expensive Superia actually is, and found that even the most dedicated film shop here in Berlin only sells it in ISO 800 and 1600.
Checked all the "Poundland"-type shops in my area, none of them sell any film anymore.
Ended up buying a 3-pack of Superia online.
Drugstores used to be good to get cheap film here in Germany, but variety is getting smaller and smaller there as well. Best deal is a 2-pack of CT Precisa for around €11.
Anyways, one of them stocks Kodak "Ultramax 400" now.
Has anyone experience with this?
From what I've seen on the net so far it looks like Ektar, just a little less crazy-vivid, maybe a bit more charmingly warm.
