Check your card details.
This happened to me a while ago - the problem was something to do with not having a card registered on my paypal account. I have two and only use one so I had to swap it over.On the other hand, maybe it has expired?

It might be because I switched to a student account, but that was freaking ages ago and i swear i've bought stuff from ebay since. It did ask me for a work number a while ago, but as I have no job I clicked 'cancel'. Thought it wouldn't matter, as I have a personal rather than business account. Fucking twatsticks, the lot of them

thats what happend to mine last time i had to put a vaild phone number on there,
they give you an automated call and give you an authorization code i think that could be your problem then.
Thanks guys, I have tried a nikon D60, as well as a canon eos 350/400d; and an olympus (I think the 410), just from borrowing other peoples' cameras to take pictures of my work. I haven't found any of them hard to use... I think it's true that there really isn't much to separate them. I reckon either the Nikon D60/40x (dependent on which one I can find cheaper) or the 400d would do me absolutely fine - lens compatibility i think is gonna be important for me in the future - just need to find which is cheaper.
