You know what?? I used to use one of them for chains, cutting stuff straight, and, of course, it's in Oz.
You have no idea the number of times I've needed a steel edge and thought "fuck I wish I had my steel rule!". I'm gonnasteal one from workbuy immediately!!(I'm still gonna buy the Park chain wear tool.. because I just want one :) )

u kinda know when ur chain needs cleaning cos when u bend it laterally you can hear the dirt "crunching" in-between the plates. That's how i gauge it anyway.
I think that noise means 'you should have cleaned me a couple of weeks ago' ..
