Hmmm I understand they're thinking of including Cadel's cleft chin as a mountain stage in next years TdF....seems a little challenging to me.
Only way up that monster is the EPO highway

Sorry this is just another little rant but its my first one so fuck it.
Went to Evans today to get a tire, went in to buy that halo tire, test it out see how it feels, i was looking for black, they said they had non and all the other colours were pretty bad, so i took white, still bad but better than pink or something. it was 19.99 was in a rush a asked them if any where 16.99 like it says on the website, they were said NO. so i just took it and shot of to a job interview. went onto the website, and the others are 16.99. i would not have cared about the colour i just need to save money. so over all they told me porkys to get some more money, pretty annoyed now... but hey... end -

I google anything I am about to buy from Evans and show it to them for price match.

Good luck with that job. Srsly.

I don't work at evans, but I wouldn't jump to conclusions. I don't think the guy sold it to you for 19.99 to get 3 quid out of you. Sounds like you got served by a newb. If it is 16.99 on the website, they should sell it to you for 16.99. We have price differences in cyclesurgery between the website and the store (which is a fucking ballache). We always sell products for the cheaper price.

As long as it's not an exclusive web deal (but it should be stated somewhere).

just go back to the store and slap your cock on the counter and demand 3 pounds worth of fellatio.

On the evans note, they tried to sell me 3 plastic tyre levers for £12 theother day.
When they refused to lend me some, they just told me to "buy some, or put some in your bag when you go out, be pepared"...I took heed in reminding them that i was never in scouts, and must have forgeten... -

Has evans been hiring recently? :P

Hahaha beautiful ... three levers and they have £4 written on them... OK that's £12 please.
Imagine if they charged you for peas indivually. Or rice. Or dust.

Is dust cycling slang? Why would you buy it, in bulk or individualy?

• #268
well the tires were behind him, and he looked at me as if I'd asked for the animal, then sneakily googled armadillo on the till computer while i stood there pointing repeatedly at the fucking tire.

You're not going to become one of those knobs who spends 10 minutes next to the till at the supermarket checking every item's price on their receipt are you?
Maybe it's too late...

It only takes a second to check 8 cans of tyskie, 2 packets of beef super noodles and a packet of hobnobs.

Good luck with that job. Srsly.
was that directed at me?
i have saved a few hundred quid - compact chainset, michelin pro race 3's, dura ace rear mech, etc
though of late they have been quite active at price matching items themselves so when i got dura ace STI's evans were already the best price
if i need a part in a hurry now I will check if Evans stock it, find a branch with one in stock and jfgi at the counter (or have a couple of links stored in the phone)
Wouldn't it generally work out cheaper to do the online price match? I'm assuming you can't do both at the same time?
