I just picked up a pair of these
but grey not orange... Stiff and light and ooooh I love em. It's all about the 'approach' shoes. -

Got a free session at Nike ID soon. My feet are huge enough (11.5-12) that most sneakers (besides Cons/plimsoles/etc.) look stoopid (get the feeling I'm not the fan of über-new technotrainers?). Looking for either something waterproof to replace my Chucks when it's raining, or a cool pair for hitting the gym. Which I do, like, all the time.
What should I go for?

hehe I'll post my wild woods tonight - now my painting shoes. Does it add value if they're 'pre loved'.
Fricken slavengers.

or these
my first serious pair of sneeks
(well the ones without the spikes...)I actually had the spikes! Was quite into athletics (obviously a long time ago), thought I was the business with these! Purchased along with a nice shiny Nike tracksuit at Cobra Sports in Kingston! All the gear, no bloody idea!!

Used to live and die in Rucannor baseball boots back in the 70s as a kid, they were the mutts! So comfy, it saddens me deeply now to think you can't get them. The down side was they made your feet smell like dog shit.

The nike add blatantly isn't aimed at cyclists, its just hyping nike. You can't even buy SB's anywhere but skate shops + guy on left has weiger's on and they came out 2 years ago (i got 2 pairs - hehe). I got an sb collection and you'd have to be nuts to ride in any of them. The Sb range is aimed at sneaker heads, but also to get people who aren't interested in trainers to say ' hey those nikes are cool i'm off to size to buy some nikes'.
I don't really have a point here, other than i love nike sb and jordans. haha. you should all ride spd anyway...

I really like the phrase for the Nike Ad. Even if it makes me a tool.
I am looking into having some patches made up with the Japanese: ブレーキなし。問題なし。
(No Brakes. No Problems). Perfect for sewing onto that fakessenger bagAnyone interested? What style would you like it in?

Utmost slavery! I salute you, sir! ;)
I wouldn't let any of my SBs anywhere near my bike!? Even the crap ones! How do you do it? I'd have the wet wipes out every time I stopped at a set of lights! :)Haha... well, SB's are made to skate in and to be thrashed... rock 'em, don't stock 'em! Thing is, since I happen to do a lot of work for the skateshop whose owner happens to be the local SB distibutor and untill a few months ago I ran a skate mag so I have good connections to free and cheap SB's ;)

or they go on to the bayhah... i've got a pair of US9 WTD's heading for the bay, along with the 'Nothing But The Truth' book. It's a pity there are so many fakes around, it brings the price down somewhat.
I was at the London What the Dunk launch (as press)... where you in the line? -

Ha, yourself! I rock all my kicks, bad for resale but I don't agree with resellin' anyways... BTW Still after a pair of Huf Gold-diggers in a US11... Slept and slept and slept 'til they'd all gone... :(
If Nike ever make another decent SB I may be pm'ing you! Hmmm, hmmm? ;) -

Those gold diggers were ace... you can find some on the bay though for not too much. The resell value of SB's is not what it used to be... these days it's very very hard to buy them as investments... except for WTD's of course ;) -

not in my experience.
going to have to give this post a minus 1, i'm afraid.
Do you mean that you dont like pumas? or that some of the above are good for riding in?

Ha !
Know what ya mean...
I even remember the first day I wore them, wanting to keep them box fresh, and then heading to my mate's to show them off, and scuffed the swoosh with some stoopid turtle manoeuvre.

I had the 4 pairs of the first set of SBs pre-ordered @ $69.99 each from Network17 skates (now defunct) in the US for months ahead of release.
I got the email from UPS showing they'd shipped and then they f*cking disappeared, nicked by some employee en-route. Got my money back but gutted doesn't quite do it justice in retrospect.
Only ever bought one pair of SB Dunks after that the Luckys thanks to Cide also @ retail.
