I'll be there (ali should be too) but neither of us will be riding. Just drinks and pork scratchings for us.

If anyone ever fancies a nice, not too strenuous 20 miles, train to Corbridge then riding home is top notch. Or when you haven't had a session the night before, the whole loop would be good.
Some pics of our ride Saturday here, http://camerasandcranksets.wordpress.com/2010/01/24/blasting-off-the-cobwebs/
and here
So good to get back out into the country. Still hit a couple of gnarly iced over paths though!

buying a work mate's bike off him - thinking about training and doing some touring (although i'd need to buy a tourer for that as the guy's bike isn't really suited to touring) as i've fucked my elbow and shoulder from climbing so i want something else to focus on in the mean time.

no but my boring arsed job makes me want to put the extra effort in on my day off, even if it does end me up out of my depth haha.
but to be honest i'm game for whatever and i'm likely to be a weaker member of the group so it's probably best i leave the route setting to you! (but if you do fancy a long ride we could jump on the train to berwick and bike back to newcastle - its about 85 miles i think)

do you not need to book on train first?

i've always done it same day, as long as there aint a big group - it's no problem.
