When are the Sunday rides making a comeback? Nicer to ride in daylight than on a dark and cold Thursday night.
-

can't wait to ride again, it's been at least a month.
any ideas for routes? was thinking maybe a northern blast, up to say bottisham? there's a cracking fast cycle path from newmarket road to botty hell, plus a nice wee pub at the end, then cycle back through fulbourn or cherry hinton.

I hope you are talking about cycling!!
I think that sounds pretty good.. i've been on the cycle route (if you are talking about the 51) and i have to agree! and from bottisham through the wilbrahams to fulbourn is a nice ride. Is the pub the Bell inn? An alcohol inspired pit stop always goes a long way!

luckily i am talking about cycling!
the bell inn indeed, lovely pint of local ale if i remember correctly
weather is good - will it hold up?

if people are cycling to bottisham im out dude, my bike wont make that far.
maybe just a short cruise today? and a long route for the next or the week after when my racer will be back on its wheels :) -
• #207
i don't mind doing a shorty, i've a long ride to town anyway
in fact a shorty is handy as it means a longy in the pub

Many apologies for not being able to come down and meet and greet, i'm having some trouble with my bloody steel box rim wheels and can just about make it 100 yards!! Does anyone have any 700c wheels kicking about that they would be willing to sell!?

Wish I'd known you were coming out this way as I'd definitely been out for a ride, would have taken you to the legion rather than the Bell, which leads me to...Rollapaluza.
There's a room in the Legion (with bar) that will take 150 tweed, lycra clad types and I can have it for free. We have a ride, for Arthur Rank, during the Summer that leaves from the Legion- is it worth holding Rollapaluza after the ride? Is Bottisham too far out of Cambridge? Would Hayden defend his title? Is there enough interest to fill the place, think teams for the madison on a 4 bike rig. Appreciate your thoughts.

Had a laugh last night :) especially the death ramp . hi to everyone who came along , looking forward to the sunday POLO meetings TBC ( but hopefully at one of the shortlisted venues)...............Next week Stacy has agreed to be Captain of the Outing and will plan and lead where we go as well as dictate the pace . Will be different from the usual chase Rick into A+E vibe .

donno, its not that important really. My drops are pretty horizontal anyway.
I just figured maybe you wanted to play around with it. Use and abuse to practice some frame building.
Otherwise i have no intention really for pimping a beater frame with nice track ends similar price of the frame itself.

i can easily live without the track ends dude, it seriously isnt big a deal.
I just wanted to check maybe you wanted to practice on my crap frame rather than risking it on a fancy one.And dude, if it invloves paint, call me anytime regardless of anything. Im addicted to that stuff, i spend 50% of the time im awake painting.

I hate the brick walls in my workshop . they absorb all the light
-
• #219
i can see you've started clearing stuff out already,
dude ill help you paint the place up, no strings attached.
Does your wshop leak water from anywhere or get moist? Its a bad idea otherwise cause the fresh paint will come right off as soon as you put it on.I was gonna paint mine the other week, but didnt for that particular reason.
