I thought you were talking about the george and dragon, that famous east london gay bar, where all the rough strippers from browns drink :-)

  • can you wield a tool?

we may have need for a handy fellow, someone who's not scared of a bit of real work...

I'm handy, I live just round the corner...

Ronnie Corbett, 1976. I thanks you.

  • My windows need cleaning. You'll need your own ladder etc. PM with cost.

  • can i pay you to wash your windows, it would be an honor....

  • I need a job bad
no-one will employ me though as I'm 16 and didn't apply for a summer job at birth

  • it's not that bad. Try out AYS.
    http://www.ays.co.uk/staff/apply/

not great pay, but a couple of years ago (fuck it was 5) when I was 16 they were the only people who would employ me, as I didn't have a National Insurance Number due to being born somewhere else. That sucked.
It is work though- and being paid is always good.

  • First job i got here was with them while i tried to find a real job.
I got so many bottles of booze from them it wasn't funny.
Driving the van back from a moet launch party at 3am in the morning
with all the unchecked left over swarovski crystal moet magnums in the back past a friends house made it all worth while.

Yeah, the freebies made that job.
clothes were good if you could nick em.

  • Do you have elderly relatives with a garden?

Do their gardening for free (if you're generous). Other old people walk past who ask if you're a gardener. Say yes. Say £8 per hour. Old person says yes. You do gardening and drink as much tea as you want, plus a nice tanned complexion. You get paid, tax free, of course, for working in the sunshine whenever you feel like it.

    Works for me anyway :)

I was peeling labels off mislabeled golf clubs in a factory, but I felt like I was going mental.

  • i have no relatives in london though, the closest is my gran and granddad in lincolnshire and they have a scruffy farms....no plants and stuff there.

  • I see, I wasn't sure if there were any residential areas in london where old people 'congregate' anyway.

good luck with your search :)

  • Clothes?

Yeah, the freebies made that job.
