..and if you ARE a woman, you'll almost certainly be in the Spotted thread on here instantly.. but everyone will pretend it's your orange frame or purple hubs they noticed first!

basketball vest FTW!!
.
Haha basketball "vest..." how British of you!
Sorry I know this is a British forum and hence I'll
get no support here, but I had a chuckle...Yeah ball jerseys are the go for a hot summer, all that mesh is so breathable...
Tellya wot though the British get they tops off at a second's notice- back home we're like 46 degrees and still in t-shirts or singlets... Maybe it's the massive hole in the ozone layer scorching us all up...
Personally I don't think it's the best look unless you're at home or swimming...

the phrase you're looking for is 'solar-powered idiots'

Yeah the solar powered idiots- native habitat day festivals, often found sunburt, drunk and rowdy...

I'm kinda furry under my shirt, so if I wear airtex-type vests, particularly in white, I end up looking like a teabag with limbs.

KKnight2 - I am a boy, definitely... I checked this morning. But as for nekkid bike rides, i try to stay away from public nekkidness, i get very shy. But shirt off the moment i can - Iam (some might say unfortunately) South African, so i like being in shorts and slops.
I will DEFINITELY then try stay out of 'Spotted' for the reason of this thread. But then again, no one will like my whip....
I dont think i look bad with out a shirt, but i dont mind actually if others are half nekkid either. Personal preferance. And i DO believe that the more we encourage people to become active LIKE getting onto bicycles, the fitter people in general will look. The more active the people become, the better we will look on average.
I just tend to feel weird without my shirt on in built up areas... But i like not having one on. My inner demons clash once more!!!!
So what is the opinion of half/semi-nekkid runners? I dont think they look out of place... I think it will take time but people will get used to topless cycling.

I see topless male runners on Hampstead Heath and a little part of me goes 'eeewww'.

Surely you should have a stronger stomach.. all those bins you're raiding?

Car drivers seem to give you a wider berth when your shirt is off, freaks them out for some reason - might be because my back and neck are covered with 10 inch knife wound scars.
But any given excuse (ie the temperature thinks about hitting double figures)
I get my chilised torso out on show. -

now, sadly, retop -
• #142
had a couple topless runs recently, I've found that a string vest is even better though, you get the airflow but it stops your bag and back gettin sweaty

are you a boy or a girl? Don't think it's legal if you're a girl... for reasons of equality it's probably just as illegal for men, but no-one is going to bust you for it...
Out of interest you know there's a naked bike ride in london? They don't seem to arrest them...
