Live in Ashford in Middlesex, but it's in Surrey and not in London (500m down the road and I would be in London). Does that count? Mostly I am riding fixed (but only since March). Prior to that geared.

Blimey, you live in two counties at the same time.

Middlesex gone now - but everyone still refers to it as Middlesex. Just watching shite on TV and I've just seen I can move to Hammersmith and pay £330,000 for a run down house needing total renovation! I'll get it sorted this afternoon and move...

I'm from Glasgow but right now I'm in Redcar which is near Middlesbrough until mid-August. Was maybe going to be in London in a year for the next 5 for medicine degree but probably will be Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee or Newcastle. (Newcastle replacing King's as my 4th choice)

The controller in me is screaming that you are NOT in Surrey! Although did you know that there are 2 Ashford Roads in Ashford?

Born in London, live in London, always have.
Geared bikes all need work, so am riding fixed everywhere.

I live in Hammersmith during the academic year. I'll be back in Basingstoke though for the summer :( Hopefully for the last time as I'll get an internship/work placement here for the rest of my degree, so I'll be able to afford to stay, and I'm 90% sure I'll stay here after I graduate.
...I can move to Hammersmith and pay £330,000 for a run down house needing total renovation
Heh, the prices round here are insane. There's no way I'll be able to afford to rent here next year, most likely to move away from the west.
Edit: And I ride fixed; it's my only bike. Saving for a geared one though because I want to do Richmond Duathlon next year.

Thank you Buffalo Bill - wasn't aware that there are 2 Ashford Roads in Ashford! There used to be a home for women inebriates, and Rose West is currenlty enjoying some time at the local prison...
My mistake, the 3 bedroom house in Hammersmith was being flogged at an auction and went for 370k. I'll be taking my loose change to the coinstar machine in Tesco's and see what I can afford.

I don't care where you were born (jeez, suddenly the thread has become "this is your life" :-)) but where you live. In the words of Rakim, "it ain't where you're from, it's where you're at".
And London = zones 1-4. Zone 5, Croydon, Slough, London borough of Kent, etc don't count.

sorry were you just after a 'yes' or 'no'? is this for some kind of research?

I am such a Londoner that I panic once I get past the A406 and have to ride at break neck speeds so I can get quickly back to where i feel safe. Ask anyone who has been on a ride with me. They will confirm this
no offence to the non-london readers, but I've just come back to the forum after about a week to find that almost everyone here is suddenly not from london, and it's weirding me out...
so where are you?
