It's to reinforce the belief that the sun shines out of his arse.
Are your parents religious ?

that sounds totally rad... it'll be like sitting on a light sabre seat post (at a guess that was the concept)?
It looks like I have a 100W fluorescent tube shoved up my arse ! It's a great look !!

Hell no.

I have an inverter that would probably do it kicking about at home, you'd need to bump up the AA's to 12v but thats no biggie. Unfortunately I'm away from home for at least a month :/
Thanks for the offer, mucho appreciated, if I have still not sorted it when you get back I will PM you. Thanks again for the offer. :D

It's proper Tron I tell ya' !! basically the whole surface of the seatpost radiates light - I am working on getting the power supply (I have to invert the power from 4 AA batteries) down a bit in size - but it is basically working - looks like you are sitting on a fluorescent tube - slightly surreal !!
oooooh! el wire!
You can get inverters that use 9v batteries. What length of wire are you using?

I am not using EL wire but a EL panel, I will take a snap when I have it finished.
I have a coupe of old inverters that run off loads of batteries, but have not found one that runs of a 9v (a single 9v ? )

another trick yu can try to get smoother braking is to use some gear cable outer as it dosent squish the innercable so much when it bends. Nokon bead cable is totally the best though!

'Compressionless' ! :)
Nokon bead cable is totally the best though!
It's great stuff - not only can you route it around very tight bend but it is also much lighter than stuff like Shimano cable housing (if keeping your bike light is a goal).
The individual Nokon beads are also currency in nine African countries.

Do you have unlimited supplies of fluorescent paint knocking around at home?
(our toilet walls/floor/door used to be fluoro pink, so don't think I'm hatin')

I have had it plumbed in, it is piped up from the big vat under homebase.
That round green table (in our garden) can be seen from space (no joking) here it is on Google Earth !!
