fuck - well i'm 31 and just about to start a phd having tried working for quite some years now. however, it's not a lab based one (epidemiology) and i am a doctor already, so i guess i've got some advantages there in that my options are open.
anyway, to the subject in hand. after much thinking about it and some advice from some friends, i am afraid that i am NOT going to take the cranks, and I will also let the saddle go to whatamidoing who is clearly very enthusiastic about it and therefore i think more deserving than i. may i just say thanks for waiting for me to consider this, though.
best,
d0cA
ps - offer of help/advice about medicine still stands tho: i do have quite a cynical viewpoint about uk training and am happy to share my thoughts.
