Camberwell to Kingston 11.5 miles 38mins on Monday morning .Then 35mins on my way back to get to Herne hill on time. Once it took me over an hour to get back because I got stuck in Richmond park( they locked all the gates because they were shooting deer!!). I had to climb over the gate with my bike on my back.

tooting bec to cleveland street (balham high street, clapham common, wandsworth, chelsea bridge, sloane square, hyde park, mortimer street). 34 minutes.
i think i can probably get it down to 30 if i push it.always faster on the way to work. coming back is a bugger.
I'll look out for you when I'm back in the saddle. Me: Balham to Primrose Hill - that route + an extra bit on the canal. PB = 30mins & 6 secs.
Those 6 seconds really fucked me off.

just found this site www.mapmyrun.com turns out my route is 8.8 miles or 14.13 km. however, i am being a spud and cant figure out simple maths to find out how fast i was going. any ideas? im doing 8.8 /33.56 then times 60. is this right or am i a maths nob?

that's right, but 33m56s = 33.93333333333333333333333333333minutes.
8.8/33.933333333 gives distance you travelled in 1 minute.
x60 gives distance you travelled in 1 hour. ie miles per hour.
=approx 15.6mph -

i think.
and for me: door to door red lion street to Waterloo station (my almost pointless commute) 5m5s.
can't do it that quickly on the way in, it's all up hill!

that's fast innit.
Near Liverpool Street Station to just south of Tooting Bec common. About 7.5 miles in 26 minutes... I may have jumped a few red lights (but reasonably!).
