  • Had a search and couldnt find anything on this but am prepared to be wrong if you can link to it.

Im after a Track Pump for home as all ive been using is a mini pump to inflate my tires and im pretty sure there no where near what they should be at.

Can someone recommend a good track pump at around £10-£20

    thanks

  • I got one in Decathlon for less than 20 which works pretty well. It's plastic but fairly robust.

  • Topeak Joe Blow

  • Joe Blow, but i like the old ones better...

  • joe blow, with double head! helloooo sailor xxxooo

  • Why would anyone use a track pump if they're not riding on the track?

  • it gives you a more zen feel whilst pumping- you know more connected to the air.
Its a more organic experience, and you and the air just seem to become one.

  • I got one of these, metal barrel, replaceable plastic valve head thingy, does upto 160 psi

  • Don't Lidl do one for a fiver?

  • ive got the cheapo oxford http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=8500
had it for about 4yrs. does the job but doesnt have a dual head. you'll need to screw the adaptor on the presta valve every time.

  • mine came from tesco for under a tenner.
    does up to 160psi

  • I've got a bog standard red metal one from Halfords, cost about £12, does the job.

  • i have a topeak joe blow. it's great.

  • Joe Blow. Good for footballs too.

Mine fell out of my bag whilst I was riding home from the train station on to the road and was fine :)

  • Another Joe Blow owner here.

I had it on good authority (from my favorite sociologist) that these pumps were originally used by slaves, favored for their cheapness and simplicity. These slaves then escaped to NewYork, a city well noted for it love of the latest ethnic craze, where the craze then caught on and soon the world was "rocking" the track pump.

  • It's a good price

Could get chain reaction etc to pricematch if you've already got an account with them.

Huh? Whatcha up to? Fancy swinging by? (Phone died last night: on the charge now)

  • I got one from On One for about £10. Still going.
Prefer my old school Silca one back home though.

  • +1 for Silca

i use one back north thats older than me, works a charm

  • Just bought a Silca "Superpista"

  • I just bought ome from Lidl for a fvier, it's got a metal barrel and got my tubs up to 160psi today...

Silca are the best....Joe Blow's are shit, unless you've never owned a track pump before then you might think they are good......

  • Just noticed, as I was looking to buy a track pump for work (cheap) and one for home; that many of the cheaper track pumps don't say how much they pump up to anymore. Was I dreaming or did they all used to have the psi in the adverts and on the packaging....back in the day? Evans Cyclesurgery, Wiggle, et al, all have track pumps with no psi listed. Should I just head to LIDLs or TESCOs like some of you guys have done? I (stupidly?) thought that it would be a better pump from a bike shop?

  • you can buy pumps for a £5?
    fsck me.
    go to lidl.

  • i have the 25 quid spesh one, i recommend it.
