What they all said.

What a fucking disgrace. It's good that your not too badly hurt and, most importantly, still alive. Hopefully this driver gets the harshest punishment available. If justice is not served I'm sure we can find out where they live and deal out some justice of our own.

• #29
yea what bmmf said
skin graphs sounds real nasty :(
-
• #30
bloody hell.
I hope that bastard gets the punishment he deserves.
-
• #31
Shit man sorry to hear that. Hope that motha gets his..... Get well soon
-
• #32
That is total shit man - if there is a branch in Norwich, the law firm I've used for my accident is Augustine's (part of Veale Wasbrough lawyers or something).
They were really sympathetic and have worked on a no-win, no-fee basis.Through them, the other side has already accepted legal responsibility for breaking my hand.
-
• #33
Fuck man, that's fucking horrible! :-(
Please read roxy's thread about what to do in an accident. Don't let this go. Fuck them up!
http://www.londonfgss.com/thread4213.htmlOnce you've found where they live you can begin poisoning their water supply. Lead is an interesting option causing insanity before death I believe.
-
• #34
Yep even if you don't feel too bad the fact that the driver left you for dead means he deserves punishment both criminal as well as financial.
+1 to that. It still fucking amazes me that in situations like this people choose to drive into someone with the knowledge that the collision may be fatal, instead of just allowing their car to get a bit of damage which is repairable anyway...
hope you make a speedy recovery and that justice is swift.

lead??

• #37
get well soon man, take the cocksmoker for everything you can get - not for your gain, but so that the dinner party brigade get the message that carving up bikes in chelsea tractors is not on.

• #38
Get well soon dude.
-
• #39
Ouch... feelings go out to ya, punish the fucker, he/she deserves it
-
• #40
What everyone else said - glad to hear that your injuries are bearable and spirits high.
But yes, take the driver to the cleaners. There's no excuse for hit & run.
-
• #41
+1 to all of the above - leaving the scene of the accident is a criminal offence, and it's not like he even knew that you weren't going to die on the side of the road there.
Hope it all heals okay. Look forward to the new bike that bastard is going to have to buy you!
-
• #42
Get well soon Vinz!
-
• #43
really sorry to hear. Hope you will get better soon. 184 stitches... fuck. Make sure you make the bastard pay for each single one of them. Serious serious cash. double it for attempted hit and run. Should be far more than just a new bike. On top of the injury claim shock, depression, lost income, the lot.
-
• #44
sorry to hear that man.
hope you recover alright.
hit & run is NOT COOL. sue the cunt! then find out the address and send the angry cyclist crew round to have words ;-) -
• #45
Hey dude, I'm sorry to hear about this shit. I hope you fix up soon. 184 stitches is a lot!
Listen to what Hippy and all said about Roxy's thread. It's really fucking good and will help you get the court case that you deserve. Maybe even talk to her, she has a lot of knowledge about procedures and how to get the best results from the cops. Good luck and heal soon.

• #46
Sorry to hear that dude. Bloody 4x4s.
-
• #47
i wish you well fella - that is so shit
-
• #48
At least the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital is right smack in the centre of town, so it wouldn't have taken long to get there.
Oh.
Glad you seem to be in (comparatively) good spirits about it all, though.
I'm going to join the angry mob here and say you should litigate the shit out of the driver. I know Duke Street and there's always a stop at either end - if I remember rightly, it's two-way again now? - so overtaking you was a pointless bloody exercise, as you'd have been alongside the Volvo at the stoplight, so they could have just been patient and gotten to the red light 30 seconds later.
Driving away with a cyclist bloodied in the gutter behind you is the height of cuntishness.
Get well soon.

• #49
dude, get well soon.
+1 to the comments above about taking driver to the financial cleaners, hit and run is SO not a good look.
Make sure and get on the case with the Police, I've had experiences of them losing/misfiling the culprits details, thereby making it really difficult to a) prosecute them and b) gain financial recompense. So write/ring/go personally to Police station and get those details so you can hand them over to your solicitor and get the ball rolling.
It might take a while, but the driver needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and you need to extract your pound of financial flesh. Fingers crossed your arm will be as good as it was before, but you never know and this is the only time when you'll be able to gain your due compensation for what you might have to endure in the future.
Stay positive and heal quick. -

sorry to hear you were assaulted.
speak to your mp / local councillors as well if you can / got time.
and the highways dept. those things in the middle of the road are dangerous. they are pinchpoints. and awful for cyclists. you may have a claim against the highways dept as well.
good luck and get well soon.
yeah pursue the driver all the way. get a good lawyer.
get well soon bro. that's a shit thing to happen.
