I wear slim fit jeans a size too big on the waist with a belt, works out nicely for me. I have a friend who used to buy girls jeans from primark for £2, unpick the seam and re-sew it to get that real 'denim tights' look. I disapprove of this behaviour in general, but is an option if you're desperate haha.

Just had this discussion with someone the other day.
I find the S 001 jeans at uniglo pretty decent just picked them up the other day
the 000 I got to my knees, the 001's are not to baggy not to tight. -

ok, since you ask:
I prefer slim fit jeans but I am a 32" waist. However, 32" slim fit jeans are too tight around my thighs, whilst 34" slims fit fine in the leg but are of course too big around the waist. Conclusion: my body is not suitable for slim/skinny jeans. The ones that i do own are a terrible fit on me.
I went to buy new jeans at **Howies **last week and got this straight in my mind Their Drover cut is quite slim for a regular fit and has just the right amount of give for riding in. they're designed with riding in mind and have no metal rivets on them that can be uncomfortable on a saddle. nice weight of organic denim and good details too.
was wondering about these, all the right ethics, but...arent they like 160 quid a pop?

i have a slim 32" waist, but my strong, muscular buttocks and planet-crushing thighs make trousers an ordeal. hence, i have developed an alternative garment which I call a "skirt". This "skirt" allows me to preserve one's modesty, and lets the awesome power that issues forth from my terrifying musculature flow optimally into the pedals with literally crank-bending fury, free of the restrictions imposed by poorly-fitting trouser legs.
skirts. ahem.

anyone else got crotch holes in all their jeans?
(and yes, this is to provoke abuse. anyone who knows me will understand)

I have a problem with genes.
That was pretty funny. I made it up, it's a joke.
Thanks.
Maybe I should italicise it and make it bold - you know, to strengthen the joke.

A friend of mine does this, and sews himself into them before going out of an evening. All well and good in hipsterdom; but a couple of years ago he tryed to take a girl upstairs at a house party but didn't get anywhere because he was totally unable to get out of his jeans and too drunk to try and unpick them. Champion.
Primark jeans are fine though, they rip to shreds under my intense cycling power but apart from that they're fairly useable, if ethically 'orrible.

Recommendations, if you want to ride in jeans. And if you've got thighs like Hoy then go for a loose fit with a tapered leg, like a Levi's 503.
If you're not on a budget then Levi's Vintage Clothing 501's from 1955 for the fuller figure, and 501's from 1966 if you prefer a skinnier fit.
On a budget, need something loose and don't necessarily want to end up with a blue saddle, then original Carhartt Workwear Pants, B01. They'll last an eternity. Not from the streetwear stores, buy em from proper hardware/workwear stores.
Failing all that, then a skirt does seem like a good idea ;)

Krew jeans are brilliant to ride in. Different cuts, but the 'Ellingtons' are slim, but not skinny if you catch my drift. They're made to skateboard in too so they're tough and are stretchy, but don't lose their shape. £50 from any good skateboard shop. (Slam City if you're from London) or Ideal if you're in Birmingham like me!

Levi's!
Yup.
Everything else I tried has worn at the crotch in no time.
