I am smelling a 100% Hip Hop Slave Bike ?
Super Lo-Pro ?
Inconsistent wheelage ?
Modern 'rave music' colour scheme ?

Nice frame alex, in keeping with your new found hipsterness i presume it will be 700 rear 650 front? ;)
-
• #12
700 front 650 rear, duh.
Bike (plus an unfortunate picture of me dress to match it):
I honestly didn't intend the matching jacket!

^ That picture sort of hides the comical stem arrangement. Probably just as well. :) For a colour change: how about incandescant purple, fading to neon pink with green, blue & gold sparkles?

Can't see the picture :(
. . . hold on let me twiddle with the internet.

Slavery ! :D
What is that front wheel ?

Love it! 'Slavery' = ultimate hipster compliment. EVA. Word.

Not sure... one of 2 that i got from the guy i bought it from (thanks colin if you're reading this!).
Its laced 2 cross with bladed spokes, to what may be a wolber anodized rim w/braking surface. Not sure what the hub is, no obvious markings. Very swish though, although the tub is looking scarily old/threadbare.
It'll be for sale, as soon as I get a 650 clincher.
I also got a BEAUTIFUL radially laced wolber profil - mavic hub, again with bladed spokes. again tub.
Fanks for the love!

Just spotted the wheel on your back - true hardcore cyclist, carries a spare wheel.
-
• #21
Yeah, so hardcore that I carry a wheel that wouldn't even fit the bike i'm riding.
-
• #22
Now that's hardcore.

• #23
that frame is NUTS (in a good way). Whatsit ride like?
-

Never laughed so much on a bike. It's v stiff too.
Quite scary with 48 x17 though, i dunno if it's my face's proximity to the floor, but it feels like i'm going much faster ALL THE TIME than on my geoffrey butler.
Hellishly twitchy and agile with the 650 on the front as well. Bucket loads of fun basically!

i can imagine. i do love twitchy handling and agressive geo for riding in London, it is well fun.
...to Cavendish Cycles.
I came in just as they were closing trying to sort out my hip-hop slave bike & make it more slave-like. They found me a quill - a-head adaptor, and let me stay behind to fumble around and fit it in the shop.
The current set up would raise a lot of eyebrows (not just henry's), it certainly raised theirs, & so i will refrain from posting a picture till i've got it looking a little more humane.
I hope you liked your chocolate bar! :)
Thanks again,
Alex (with the black monstrous Lo-pro with a tunnock's tea cake headbadge)
OH, and of course, thanks a TON to Colin! The tea cake badge is going to stay in your honour! I may even make a relief of it, and get it cast in tin (or whatever they make headbadges out of), with your permission of course!
