  • i had a good search for thinner tyres, i'll keep on looking - eyes peeled...

You can get Conti Ultrasports in 27x1 1/8" - £10.80 here, or any LBS supplied by Madisons should get them in for you.

  • if you bump into my cat can you point her in the direction of Portsmouth...ask Emily, she knows where it is.

Oh no. When I ordered mine I nearly got two pairs... damn...

  • Very disappointing. It looks like it fell out of an ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

    (joke!)

Sweet bike PJ. Have fun on Ventoux!

  • i will - got to get up unnaturally early tomorrow though...

  • the weather is very dodgy. 5mins heavy rain 5 mins warm sunshine. id recommend a t-shirt/jersey and a spare light waterproof (to carry).

  • oh wow thats quite some picture :D

  • Nice bike dude! When you off to Bristol? Proper hilly round there...

  • not till august. and i'll be back all the time for all manner of rides and polo related carnage. and other things, with other people.

  • Bristol's great. It's hills aren't great.

  • nice on pj

  • Majestic, that is.

  • PJ, could you give me a bit of advice, please? I've got my eye on a bike with 27" wheels. Now I know that would leave me with a limited choice when it comes to rims and tyres, but are there any other pitfalls I should be aware of before I part with my money?

Is the ride noticeably different from 700Cs? Are tyres wider than an inch evil? Any pointers would be much appreciated.
