Looking excellent pj.
I was gutted about not buying those wheels from Dale, but you've used them on a nicer frame than my Claud so it's probably for the best [/gritted teeth]

gotta move fast, skullhead, gotta keep on rollin'.
i've missed so many bargains on this forum, they're like, 'someone JUST pm'ed me, like, two seconds ago, you have them if they back out'.

Very nice frame :)
And I agree with VB about the curtains. Where'd you get them...? I wouldn't mind them for when I move out of halls.
-
• #15
Yep, I was procrastinating, really couldn't justify buying more wheels for a bike that has perfectly servicable wheels all ready. no point buying 'preiod' track wheels for a conversion, really.
Where'd you find the Bontis?
-
• #16
I Don't think you are going to need that in Portsmouth pj let me look after it for you : )
-
• #17
looks nice, yeah need a vintage saddle for sure! 27" fill out the the frame well. definitely one of the lightest frames i've had.

I'll search up here for thinner tires if you want. -

will you re-touch my stem on THursday dale? ;-)
I am impressed that you saw beyond the plain green - it looked good but now.. its ART. -

-
• #22
Wheres the 'DogsBalls Direct' headbadge?
-
• #23
did it cost £999?
-
• #24
what about the 531 decal as well ;)
you didn't paint that too? I thought I sold you a perfectly good one of those.
BTW Dale do you know how to do Dry Fix decals? Dave Marsh just sent me one with sod all info, I've no idea how to transfer it. It's for the Geoffrey B.

aren't they just a water slide?
well, not new per se, but it's the latest after the peugeot of a few weeks back.
it's a george stokes of coventry path frame from the early 60s.
it has bosses for all sorts of stuff and is really really light.
i got the frame and the 27" wheels from dale, laced to airlite and another hub, i'm not sure which, in a nice pattern. it has lovely nervex lugs and really long rear dropouts.
i used bontrager hardcase 27x1+1/4 tyres, very difficult to get anything else, but the carcass is quite narrow.
BB is centaur, cranks sugino 75, chainset, to match, 48:18.
Seatpost is funny diameter, bars cinelli criterium (my favourites), stem cinelli too. it's a sort of bastardised old/new combo. chances are, when i can afford it, i will stick a brooks racy saddle on there.
