Got it - paint a road scene on to the wall and get Rowhan to ride into it.

I've only just started riding in to work after a couple of months off. My route is annoyingly being chewed up by various Olympics stuff.
Noticed a load of the 'Games Lanes' have been written in around Tower bridge over the weekend too. When do they come into force does anyone know? It'll be a complete pain if you're not allowed in them at all as they take up half the available lanes.

I completely agree with you in principle. But isn't there an insane fine for doing so (and kangaroo courts set up to hit you as soon as they spot you?)

I was told yesterday by the ticket inspector at Sutton station that while the Olympics are on there will be a complete ban on taking bikes on trains, not just during peak hours. Obviously that's because every single train in London over August and September is going to be ram packed full of people heading to Stratford. Or, as is most likely, not.
This has completely screwed me for Sunday morning track training. As there are no direct trains to Herne Hill early on Sunday mornings I usually have to get a train to West Norwood and ride the last couple of miles. Not sure I fancy walking from Norwood or riding 9 miles each way with all my kit on top of doing a load of sprint efforts.
Does anyone know if this is a network wide thing or just Southern railways and is it worth complaining about? Seems a tad excessive to me.

Take old bike with trailer - job done.
-
• #536
Hmm... I don't really want to be riding my bike very far at all after putting a few 100% efforts in at the track, I'm not sure loading a heavy old bike up with a trailer and riding 18 hilly miles is going to my recovery much good.
I'll find a way, it's just going to be massive a pain in the arse for 6 weeks or however long it is.

Leave bike at velodrome?
-
• #538
I already leave my track bike at the velodrome. The problem is with having no trains running direct to Herne Hill on a Sunday morning so I take my road bike to West Norwood and ride from there.
I've got driving lessons booked over the next few weeks, now I'm really wishing I'd done it a bit earlier. Like 18 years ago...

True, but worth making an effort though.
The demo has been picked up by the Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/london-2012-olympics-blog/2012/jul/06/london-2012-olympics-21-days-to-go-live-blog?fb=native

I'll be at home, watching the build up to the Grand Prix.
