After the Olympics and Paralympics, will it be possible to go into the Olympic Park (not the actual stadia). It would be nice to have a look at it given that it is so near. I assume that for the duration of the games only VIPs and lucky ballot winners are allowed.

Immediately, no. Eventually, yes.

They've got to do substantial work in the year or two afterwards and I imagine that's just easier to do with the gates closed. But as the plans eventually lead to some housing and public spaces the perimeter fences must come down one day.

How long until the venues are handed over to http://www.leevalleypark.org.uk/ ? I guess that's the best indication of how soon we can go and get up close to every venue.

not 100% sure if this is correct, but, for the paralympics they are offering a day rover card to allows access to a certain number of venues with a one day pass i.e you can watch some swimming then head to the velodrome watch some racing then to the main syadium and watch some athletics as long as there are spare seats in the venues you can wander in that will give you access to the whole park for the day plus the arenas

scrap the games as it stands, instead have one big fight - each country supplies its top athletes and a battle for last man standing in a hunger games/battle royale style. i would love to see the professional footballers diving and rolling around on the ground before the whistle is even blown

It gets you into basketball arena, riverbank arena and the olympic park. subject to availability.

My main concern is when will they start a winter track league :)
Hopefully it will be within 3 years or so. It would be great to go there once a week and race on those boards on a dark winters evening
