well its not a big secret that the biggest and best runners come/originate from africa. imagine the pressure put on that guy, and what he had to cope with. a massive statement imho.
there was even a documentary on bbc about the same situation happening in the 100m men. That guy was french I believe.

Fuck me I never thought I would care about 10k running but there I was, nervous as a bride, and when he gave it the beans I was shouting "come on you fucking beauty!" at the top of my voice. That was thrilling!

Add to that Jessica Ennis just before, schooling all her competition, and Greg Rutherford getting gold, what a great evening.
