This blog is all about hard work in and out of the gym and reaping the rewards of your efforts. At approximately midnight tonight I get a reward. Yes Sports fans tomorrow is the day of the month that everyone loves (except for you dole types, then it's either weekly or fortnightly) it's PAY DAY!!

*This Month I have some big things on my shopping list, most of which is essential, others, not so much.

    Shopping list as follows:

Months supply of supplements (shakes, creatine, amino acids, thermobol)
    TAPOUT grapple shorts
    IRO Mark V frame-set
    Hulk Hogan Tee shirt
    UFC videos
A 10 day ski break in Austria
    Savings.

April is going to be a big month; a lot of circuit training coming into play, Gi's are being dropped for skins and shorts, core strength is going to be tested to the fullest as well as mental strength. It's going to kick ass!*

You must cut quite the dash cycling your iro wearing your grapple shorts and hulk hogan t-shirt with your pecs a-rippling in the sunlight

  • Amazing! that blog has some great reading :D lets all HTFU people. :D

    real talk

you have got to be kidding ?

  • Nice crown

  • and his ride

  • tynan, is this your latest incarnation?
    ;)

  • This is below tynan's oeuvre of alter-egos. At least I hope it is.

  • From "You the fag with the creatine on your lips"

Just look at Charles Bronson, the guys a lunatic and hes stacked like a mother fucker... how? Because he spends 23hrs on his own. Theres only so much masturbation one can take so no doubt hes going apeshit on a daily basis, pushing his body to the limits.

  • Creatine eh? How's that anal leakage working out for ya?

I take creatine daily and I don't notice any side effects. I don't OD on it like the OP.

An old flatmate of mine was lifting and taking the suggested 'large' initial doses. From all his reports it wasn't pleasant. Why are you taking it? It's pretty pointless for cycling.

I didn't do the loading phase. It's meant to be just a con and the first month effects are always big relative to usual.
I do weights each day and I noticed that it speeds up recovery a bit.

  • Swap it out for a protein shake and see if you notice a difference..

Protein goes in too. When I finish this little tub of creatine I'll leave off for a while and see if I notice much difference. The protein is cheap as chips so if I can chuck the creatine I'd be happy.

I'm starting to sound as bad as asssuckerdickfucker

  • Well, from the little I read about creatine.. it's only good for increasing your 1-rep max, so great if you're a powerlifter but for 'normal' peeps just trying to stay fit you're probably better eating an extra steak a week and leaving creatine alone. This was a while ago.. more research has possibly been done?

  • ha creatine!
doesn't work. Trust me, my lecturer told me so. In a long lecture. Basically, your body produces more than enough, and if you top it up you just shit it out. so you're paying £ for shit. literally.
    brilliant, isn't it?

oh and if stupid bodybuilder guy argues, the lecturer is one of the more respected in his field.
    so go fsck yourself.

  • so you're paying £ for shit. literally.

    Niiiicccceeee.

People believe anything with a few fancy words that they don't recognise.

Like that toothpaste I saw advertised with liquid calcium. The melting point of calcium is 842 degrees Celsius.

  • The melting point of calcium is 842 degrees Celsius.

And? Think how clean that'd get your teeth!

  • It worked for me...I'm a vegetarian, don't know if that makes a difference....

Why you would take it if you're not racing and working to some kind of training plan is beyond me.

    hahahaha

  • I tried it for a few months once, when I was doing weights and a lot of standing start type things. Did notice I was able to put in a few more meaningful efforts in each training session, but I put on quite a bit of weight. The creatine probably meant a lot of this was water retention (that's part of how it works), but I was also eating a LOT. I went up a size in clothing, and was 1.5 stone (9.5kg) heavier than I am now. Not entirely appropriate for hillclimbing, but I suppose it raised the bar as far as what I believed I could do.

I'm also a vegetarian, but have long since replaced creatine with coffee and pump(ed)kin seeds.
