If you're on desktop, tweetdeck.twitter.com still works (for now) and gives you algorithm-free, ad-free, doge-free tweets from people you actually follow.

It seems the issue is that it no longer says (or at least it keeps varying how it shows it) that something you are seeing is being retweeted by someone you follow so it looks like it is just some random but it is stuff that would have previously appeared in Following (but as retweeted).

filter:follows -filter:replies -filter:likes

In yer search box in desktop and bookmark the results

Seems a shit show now, I follow lots of climate and environmental people and the comments sections are now flooded with deniers who are promoted to the top as they have bought blue ticks

Dead Cat gets over used, but sometimes I can't help but wonder if this stuff is actually about staying relevant in the news cycle. Or distracting from all those anecdotes about Twitter now being buggy - e.g. the random translation of users tweets to another language, etc.

Hadn't been on it for ages but went through a period recently of checking back into it, blocked anything like that which came up on the feeds with a hope it would do something to curate it out but when I got saw a tweet from some blue ticked high up party member of Britain First I just decided to give it in.
