Doesn't twitter have awful engagement and click through anyway? Get them on the tiktaks or whatever
You make a good point but its the spiritual home of tech bros who are the target audience in these examples.
I'm not a marketing person...i just help with some of the messaging when asked.

Spending 44 billion just to become the speed run record holder for destroying a company, incredible
Also, they fired the building access management guy and then had to call him up to help out as they’d locked themselves out: https://twitter.com/anothercohen/status/1593404311832338442
I do still enjoy Twitter, having put effort in to detoxify it with liberal use of muted words etc, but I am happy to see it burn so everyone can see how fucking dumb Musk actually is.

Do feel sorry for anyone on a sponsored visa tho, now basically in indentured servitude
-

Choosing to work for a horrible, self regarding and toxic company garners very little sympathy from me

The exit tweets from staff make it sound like it was a lovely place to work. :/

People on a sponsored visa don’t get to choose tho? The visa is linked to the job and if they leave the job then they have to leave the country.
Unless you mean that Twitter was all those things before the Musk takeover, in which case ok, although I still don’t agree: they signed up to work for a company that appeared to value their staff and gave them good working conditions, and now Musk clearly intends to create workhouse conditions for his remaining workers. They will either have to suffer his arseholish demands that they live in the office and work 24/7, or they will have to leave the US.

Lots of tweets saying “If twitter fails you can follow me at this other platform”.
I think musky will lose interest and move on, then it will recover. Lots of little communities on there that have built up over years and will stick together regardless of the rest of the site. The block option and limiting replies to others in your circle help keep out trolls.
For a lot of users it hasn’t changed much. The influx of rabid fascists is mostly around political threads. -

It's probably fun working at BAE, Northrop Grumman, Tyson Food or BAT too

What's hilarious is that Musk's visa ran out and he was illegal.

Twitter is an awful and toxic place
I keep seeing this but have to question who you lot are following. If it's me, well fair enough but there's loads of stuff on twitter that I find useful/interesting. I don't follow politicians, etc and if something gets noisy mute it.

Yeah. Spose.
I guess I think Elon’s enemy must be my friend. But that’s a fallacy I’m sure.

My new conspiracy theory is Musk is a Democratic plant posing as an alt right populist bastard, tasked with taking down Twitter because the US government believe it's a danger to democracy.

• #691
Yeah - same here. See some crap commented on via screenshots etc, but don't come across much awfulness in the wild. I must have a nicely curated feed.

voms on cock
Did I just read a twenty tweet thread of her asking for a job?
I like the fact it sounds like no one has been considering climate solutions or communication and only Elon can solve the problem but needs twitter to understand what the problem is

Did I just read a twenty tweet thread of her asking for a job?
The last one :)

Elon laid off the guy who controls card access to all twitter facilities, everyone including Elon is locked out lol 😂
The guy says Elon asked him to come back.
Waiting to see this play out. -

It was a joke, no? Don't think that guys works for twitter.
Mastodon gaining 1,000,000 new users this week as the twitter exodus gains momentum.
