I do still enjoy Twitter, having put effort in to detoxify it with liberal use of muted words etc, but I am happy to see it burn so everyone can see how fucking dumb Musk actually is.

Unless you mean that Twitter was all those things before the Musk takeover, in which case ok, although I still don’t agree: they signed up to work for a company that appeared to value their staff and gave them good working conditions, and now Musk clearly intends to create workhouse conditions for his remaining workers. They will either have to suffer his arseholish demands that they live in the office and work 24/7, or they will have to leave the US.

I think musky will lose interest and move on, then it will recover. Lots of little communities on there that have built up over years and will stick together regardless of the rest of the site. The block option and limiting replies to others in your circle help keep out trolls.
For a lot of users it hasn’t changed much. The influx of rabid fascists is mostly around political threads.
