If that's a hipster then he must be the most normal and inoffensive hipster ever.
Trying out bike polo is good. More people playing is good.
More people playing with plugged barends is good.
That guy looks plain dangerous. -

That's a fair point. Definitely took a while for people to figure it out in Scotland when we'd just started playing, though. It was brakeless, unsuitable bikes everywhere.
But assuming that the photo is contemporary then yeah, he should be on a different bike. Still don't think it's hipster, though.

You in Edinburgh?
I'm through in Glasgow, not playing as much polo as I should be.
Aye, when we all started we were riding normal gears, fixed brakeless, then we went to the EHBPC and realised how wrong we were doing it! -

Aye, when we all started we were riding normal gears, fixed brakeless, then we went to the EHBPC and realised how wrong we were doing it!I was! I moved down to London about 6 months ago. I think we met at the 'SHIT' tournament in 2009. If I remember correctly we crashed into each other during the massive multiplayer epic polo battle at the end. Haven't posted much on the Edinburgh or Glasgow forums since moving, I guess that's how it is sometimes, offline life being more important than online.
I'm Rich on the Edinburgh forum, by the way.

Hipster trap was first posted (and then reposted) a while ago now.
Spotter makes reference to this: repost is rearranged to pea-roast by the hard of thinking.
Hence the reference to peas when someone has commited a repost.
