I wear boat shoes. Love Sperry Top-Siders.
Mmmhmmm! My missus has an awesome pair in pink patent!
Herring Shoes
seem to be good value for the shoe if you want to buy some proper shoes... Saying that I really want a pair of handmade Ferragamo's...Also a top tip for the Hipsters with nice shoe taste amongst us is...
It's a gentlemens boutique in Milan, I heard of it from Scott "The Sartorialist" Schuman, blagged into one of his book launches and was having a chat with him, asked where he got his shoes as they were awesome and he told me where to go... They're really nice classic double monks but he said they make them in about 15 different colours and he has a pair in every colour... They're only abou €250-€300 which isn't too bad and they're awesome but their website is shit so you'd need to pay them a visit I reckon... I'll be getting a pair or two if I'm ever in the neighbourhood!
That's the owner of Al Bazar as far as I know sporting a pair of said double monks...

Docksiders - when i was completing my very posh education at boarding school, docksiders were (and still are if you look around the Kings Road) the default shoe of the hoorah henry - combined with cords, a decent shirt, and a v neck sweater they have been the mainstay of the toff uniform for pretty much the last century.
I find it somewhat ironic that they are now the height of fashion

They're all weather, waterproof boots. I'll come and knock on your door with them next time you're getting soaked in the pissing rain/snow

Real men don't wear boat shoes
Real men who own boats do.
Very soon I'll have purchased the LFGSS funded dinghy. I look forward to the day that I can wear boat shoes in a valid context.
