Dynamos that run on tires are usually run by people who can't afford to build an entirely new wheel to accommodate a light.

I heard from an überhipster (actually a dork ... it's hard to tell) that 'bottle dynamos' (the ones that run on the tyre) are no longer shite, because they don't actually run on the tyre any more, but have a rubbery drivewheel that is sprung-loaded onto your braking surface - less slippage, lower resistance, better.

You'll all be ditching your schmancy SPs & SONs and getting one soon. Lo Fi is Mo Fi.

I have been defending ordinary peoples' right- in parliament and elsewhere - counting on the support of our labour movement, a right we hold dear: to ride whatever size of armchair we deem fit, even if it doesn't actually fit.
