You can't stop it. As you can't stop people who use text speak in official e-mails or girls who wear three fucking layers of fake lashes...
If I was a Scot I'd probably wear it every day, but without those stupid Eroll Flynn shirts or brogues.

'I guess my look is "Scottish street", if there is such a thing. My jacket is by Stolen Girlfriends Club, my T-shirt is one of my own designs and my document case is from Topshop with an Alexander McQueen skull charm.

"Turn heads and reclaim that weekend podium. Vogueing has always been assosiated with the fashionista and gay elite. A style of dance that evolved out of the New York ballroom scene in the 1960s. As the name implies, the posing is inspired by Vogue magazine but the dance also combines different angular and rigid arm, leg and body movements.
The class is open to all abilities and no previouse experience is needed to attend.*
The first class will be an introduction to all the different elements of vogueing. We'll go through the different styles of posing, learn how to walk properly on the runway, work on some hand and arm technique, 'Shade' the life out of each other and if some of you want to go real crazy, we might try some dips and drops! (future classes will focus on all of these elements individually).
Wear what you would wear going out, girls and boys bring heals if you feel like it and just look fierce!"

spotted: about 100 hipsters queuing for something to do with london fashion week. so much visual pomposity on show that i had to stifle a LOL as i walked past. i get the feeling they feel secure in each others company as anyone dressed like that outside of central london/hackney would probably get an instant kicking.

'I'm representing Eva Zingoni, an ethical designer showing today. I'd actually describe my look today as quite rough! My vest is my mum's, my trousers were 10 cents in Paris, my belt was my dad's, and my shoes were from an Asian junk shop. The Raybans and blazer I found on the street'

ALL rikshaw riders in Bangladesh (and im sure in plenty of other countries) wear a lungi while riding. (A type of skirt). Its not that there is no availability of shorts & trousers either.

Yes. She's clearly a woman.
You clearly never been to Hoxton.
All men are free to wear the kilt. the issue is wearing the kilt like its a skirt, Leather jacket, fancy braces, tights, etc.
The bloke on big brother years ago who showed up in a "kilt"(it was a grey or black skirt i dont recall) has caused much consternation up here. And the bloke was Scottish. Stan i think his name was.
Git.
