Select all photos with bikes in them?

Only a click, boo ;)

I had a captcha (tick box) on my mobile. I'm never not on here
-
• #6830
Yeah, just ticked "I am not a robot" and I'm in. I'd have expected more rigorous enquiries trying to access this site with WP10, definitely a suspect outlier 🙂

You can message yourself, and then edit your own messages for image uploading/testing/drafting/writing a diary/"saving"-stuff-that-you-like purposes. Messages to yourself are counted on your comment count.
Maybe this is interesting to someone else out there.

If there is only one post in a thread, should it say "@soandso replied" beneath it or "@soandso said" ?
-
• #6833
I'm not able to unfollow threads. Sometimes the notify by email check box doesn't work either. Tried different web browsers/devices.
Also can't upload pictures via Firefox.
Am i doing something wrong? -
• #6834
How come when I highlight a word with a link, the post now actually shows the video/picture I'm linking to? AFAIK I'm not doing anything differently than I used to?
-

Nothing has changed, it must be your browser or a browser add-in.
Check your browser extensions as there's as good a chance it's malware as anything else.

Why can't I load ebay links? Is this a forum bug or android bug? What is love?

You have an adblock or DNS adblocking that prevents the DNS resolution or lookup of that domain.

Aha. Thanks.

Any way to determine if the fault lies on my end?

Hi,
I don't seem to be getting notifications anymore. I've turned them on and off but no luck.
Account email been changed or anything?
thanks -

When pasting a youtube link, the forum magically embeds the video directly in the page. But query params are getting removed. E.g.
https://youtu.be/4YUqUunt3Ns?t=152
should jump to 2:32, but it gets embedded as:https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/4YUqUunt3Ns
, and hence starts at the beginning.I just noticed that youtube-nocookie doesn't seem to support the
t
parameter though. So even if it wasn't stripped, it wouldn't work as expected. -
• #6843
We've been through this before, there's a hack where you alter the parameter order and it doesn't embed but the link correctly takes people to the time stamp you're pointing at.

I don't know when this started, but for at least a couple of weeks I have an odd problem uploading pictures using Firefox. (Works find with Chrome.)
When I try uploading a picture in Firefox, it looks as if nothing has happened - there's nothing in the upload list. At first I thought no upload was happening, then I hit submit on one of the posts and the image did appear. It just hadn't been shown in the list of uploaded images while I was editing.
EDIT:
On experimentation, only sometimes does the picture successfully upload when using Firefox. Mostly, it doesn't upload. But it never appears in the upload list when editing.

Yes, I've had the same a couple of times when BToBing this year.

I don't know when this started
Quite a long time ago. Drag and drop works, so I use that.

I'm getting some email notifications, in Outlook, with no sender information which go straight to junk.
Others come through as normal.
I've got the email header from an example if needed

I don't know anything about how these things work but just wondering, would it be possible for a rule that says one user can't post twice within a minimum time?
For example 5 seconds. Would eliminate accidental double posts which for some reason are becoming common on my work PC. (It also double clicks sometimes with one click or left clicks immediately after a right click) ((maybe I need a new mouse)) -
• #6849
That shouldn't happen... let me try.
-
• #6850
That was a series of clicks... it's hard to reproduce, but can happen on slow networks.
Basically there are checks in the JavaScript on the client and checks on the server side... and it should prevent it. But for the edge case of a slow connection (mobile phones sometimes, or especially on image uploads) then it can happen occasionally. But adding a delay across the board slows conversation so I've avoided that in the past. Sometimes the funniest shit is posted immediately after something else.
Since people will look here, an advance warning.
On Friday 10th August there will be a 2 hour experiment in which pages from devices that are unusual (for some definition of this, which might just be "not Chrome on Windows") we will show a CAPTCHA to solve.
The test will only run for 2 hours, few people should see the CAPTCHA, and it should help get a new capability that will protect the site.
