I've had that once.

just a small gripe, as experienced last night, making an image link-able is a little over-tricky with the current code necessity: instead of simply creating an image then highlighting that to make as a link, i've needed to make an (Ever)note of the specific code required to image-link (!),

Is it me or is the site getting a little slower?
-
• #5331
Feels like that to me too.

Thats just the whole internets grinding to a crawl with all the Xmas and NYE vines, snapchats and facetimes, plus everyone who's given up on TV and is turning to Amazon and Netflix instead.

Having trouble posting in classifieds, says theres a server issue - been like this since yesterday morning..... anything i need to do?
-
• #5338
Servers are fine, and error rate acceptably below half a percent.
It must be something to do with the content or post, are you trying attachments that are way too large? Or text content that is poorly formatted and results in no content (i.e. HTML throughout, mis-matched, such that removing bad content wipes is)?
Feel free to email me what you are trying to post and I shall look: david@buro9.com

While you're here... please do not:
- Excessively SHOUT in your advert titles, unless it is required for a brand name that is all caps such as USE. Specifically, you do not need to shout FOR SALE and TRADE... it's pretty obvious.
- Use punctuation strangely and excessively, such as slashes, pluses, colons.
When I grow tired of editing titles, my calculation of someone changes from "mildly annoying" to "spammer". You don't want this... just tone the titles down.
A good title:
For Sale: 1" Threaded Chris King headset, 1" no-name headset
Simply of the format:
:
Note the sentence case, only brand names are capitalised. Additionally multiple items are split by a comma.

@velocio My new iPhone has iOS8, and although I can view the forum without problems, I seem to have been logged out, and the Mozilla Sign-In form is telling me that it doesn't support Mobile Safari 8. Hence, I can't engage with the forum, only look from a distance. Any idea if this will get fixed?

My phone is iOS8 and I'm logged in on safari on it...
-
• #5345
Ah, just realised I was viewing in private mode, and for some reason it wasn't letting me in. Turned it off, voila! Cheers :-)

Perfect... that's what I was going to say.
Private mode on iOS8 is fairly strict, blocks all third party stuff including Persona.

Apologies for the 40 mins of sporadic availability... I re-generated an SSL certificate as it was expiring, and the front-end server simply refused to accept the new SSL cert for a while.

Brought this up on the mods thread a few days ago. I'm still unable to see most images on the site. It makes the Classifieds difficult to use, and the funnies less funny. Anyone else having problems? Using chrome on a macbook.

Is the image server struggling? I'm getting intermittent alt text in place of some avatars and attachments.
Few points:-
Clicking on a photo takes you to the url of the photo. It would be cool if it could open in its own window so you can close it and go back to the thread, rather than having to click, "Back" and wait for the thread to reload.
It'd be cool if the returns from "Today" or "Following" were all single line. Currently each return takes up 4 lines, with the thread title, "New" if there are new posts, the OP, and when it was started, and what forum the thread is in, all taking up a line.
Lastly, it'd be good if you could see the post being replied to by hovering over the "replying to", rather than having to click on it and then hit, "Back" when you're done.
