  • It's been said, but you probably scrolled past it.

  • .

  • Is there's a way to reduce the font size? it look unusually large compare to the original.

  • @velocio Rider down has its own forum so this description of 'general' is wrong:

For general bike-related chatter; also includes the Rider Down forum to document road traffic incidents involving cyclists.

  • I really miss the new post button at the bottom of the page.
And my phone still says know.

  • Yeah I'd like some ability to resize the font. Looks good on my home PC with my ultra hi-res monitor, but less so on my smartphone and work pc. Gigantic fonts. Gigantic everything for that matter.

  • The re-login every single time thing on the iPhone is getting old really, really quickly.

  • Are you private browsing?

If not, as you're fairly technical, could you raise a bug on Persona's github and push it through to conclusion: https://github.com/mozilla/persona/issues

  • Is the 'following' list meant to clear once you've read things? Loads of threads I read yesterday which have not had new posts are still there.

Also, I used to have the forum settings so the last post was first, wish that was an option again. I can't deal with all this scrolling.

  • In the forum/microcosm page (general for example) can the last link (next to the pagination) be either moved or removed? Very easy to click it instead of 2/next etc and I can't think of any time I would want to go straight to the very oldest page of a forum/microcosm.

Makes plenty of sense when viewing posts but much less (IMO) when viewing forums

  • I'll look at increasing the padding so that the buttons are wider.

First, Last... these still make sense. But spacing the buttons to avoid touch mishaps is a good point.

  • The following list is a set of notifications about stuff you're following or that concerns you (replies, mentions, etc).

The notifications remain, but are marked as 'read'. New notifications for things that are unread get marked 'new'.

Notifications remain so that you can find older stuff you interacted with easier. It makes a lot more sense over time, when you're there wondering where that thread is that you took part in where @someone said something to you a month or so ago.

  • so following will keep getting longer it isn't capped to a few pages?

  • I really miss the new post button at the bottom of the page.

    Please please please.

  • I'm logged successfully into Persona (it knows I'm still logged in), but I have to authenticate with microcosm nearly every time I browse to the forum.

  • Threads that I have read up to the latest post are still showing as unread, and if i click "Mark everything read" in the forum page, it doesn't mark them as read.

  • Soul
Really liking the clean design. Couple of features are missing for me:

Indicator of new posts / ones I've already read on a page (used to be red or yellow
Auto direct to the newest post not just top of the page
Are these features coming back in any way?

Also, not sure if it's already been mentioned but tapping the list button on iOS 7 (Safari) creates a list item but then hides the keyboard and deselects the 'list item' text. I assume this isn't how it's supposed to work...

    This

  • Oh and apparently I ned to learn how to quote properly - but you get the picture.

    Congrats on the transition boss.

  • Yeah just realised you need to be careful not to highlight the whole text box otherwise it won't show.

  • Don't like the URL rewriting when combined with provided text, for example, where does this link go:-

Is it safe or is it horrendously NSFW?

    (It's SFW.)

  • +1 this complaint.

Typing a website doesn't automatically hotlink it.

    http://www.benbroomfield.com
And if I add the link using the link button and just add the www url, it doesn't send it out.

    http://www.benbroomfield.com
However if I use the link button and make sure the http:// is there it works.

Pretty sure you used to be able to just type a url and the forum would do the work?

  • Yeah but vBulletin used to screw it up too.

We've reverted to sane defaults... we can't really guess what is a URL, but URLs start with http:// or https://.

So as long as we see one of those... we link.

On the link re-writing not showing the destination, I'll see if I can enhance that by adding a title.

  • BTW... to the celebration of all... if the queue of user changes has calmed down... I'm doing to make a typographic test suite and then much with the styles to look at reducing the font by a step.

  • On the link re-writing not showing the destination, I'll see if I can enhance that by adding a title.

You'll have to disable user supplied titles then:-

    Where does this go?

It's safe to click on, but it doesn't go to google.
