  • static.londonfgss.com is still down.

    Fixed.

Well... it is still down, but that's because it was removed.

But I finally traced the few places in the code base that had the old address.

  • It was almost as strange... it wasn't in the code base, but was actually in the load balancer layer where I still had some bizarre CDN rules in place.

  • ^lost.

  • ok so i've got the greay with light blue/green theam rocking on my computer at home,
i do remember trying it, but i don't like it
how can i change it back to the white like all my other computers

  • Sweet, thankyou

  • I was just thinking how cool it would be if you could have "poisonous threads".
Mark a thread as poisonous and everyone who bumped it would get an automatic neg rep.
There could be an "are you sure you want to do this?" warning as they typed in the reply box.
And yes, I'm thinking of the helmet thread.

This wouldn't stop people posting stupid crap, it'd just encourage them to scatter it across the forum. Leave the poison to stew in its own thread.

  • What constitutes a poisonous thread?? A thread where everyone is just arguing stupidly for no reason? Doesn't that happen on most threads at some point?

  • something strange going on on the Non-digital photography thread: https://www.lfgss.com/thread6107.html

Barchan's post took ages to show up even though it showed them updating the thread in the New posts list, and now it says there is a p56 but it won't show. Is it due to the whole thread being stupidly image-heavy?

  • Barchan's first post was moderated. I just approved it.

  • huh. okay, when I posted last night, GA2G's post was at the bottom of p55, and clicking on p56 just took you back to the first post of p55. this morning Ed's post (made this morning) was the first thing on p56 (even though it had been showing a p56 since last night).

presumably Barchan's first post being approved bumped GA2G's post onto the next page just now.

I don't know, I just thought I would flag it as an odd thing.

  • Mark all as unread

Please can this be removed or have a confirmation button, it is still far to easy to hit it by accident

    Sausage finger fail.

  • It's a fun button, makes the forum feel new.

  • about to nerg our illustrious leader

  • I've been tempted to post a crudely disguised "unsubscribe from all threads" link for a while, as an act of playful irritation. That'll make the "mark all read" button look friendly in comparison...

  • Oh, I have that button too.

    Would you like it?

  • Yes please. Can you do a "delete all PMs" button too please.

  • Can you also create a "Pay all bills" and "Finish all work" buttons? Thanks.

  • and while you are at it, get rid of "mark all threads read"

  • I pushed that, and it gave me unicorns.

    THANKS!

  • Done:

    you bastard!!!

  • Is it possible to make the search facility slightly 'fuzzy'?
For example, I was looking for the thread 'any question answered' and typed 'questions' in the search box which did not return the thread in the results due to the extra 's'
Another example is searching threads for the word carbon which seems to have a 'unique' spelling hereabouts.
This may reduce the number of merges you guys are having to do and make life simpler for us folk finding old information.
    Cheers!

  • The next version will have this as the searches will be phonetic.

  • Excellent!
