A good ride and some good chats. Nice to see some old a new faces. Well done Dogs and Jonny for the effort, the greenway was my personal favorite.
One piece of very disappointing behavior was a saw someone (don't know forum or real name) finish his beer and though it under a parked car whilst we on the Rotherhide loop. Please have some respect for peoples environment and the environment in general. Littering is a terrible behavior.

Great ride.
Highlights: Hitting the front with Jonny n a few others n upping the pace on the way down to the Greenwich tunnel.
Changing Ray's (Shinscars) puncture in record time so as not to loose the group.
Racing along Jamaica Rd after the Taxi crash only to find we had gone the wrong way so deciding the only resolve was to race back.Lowlights: Peeling pilky (i guess?) off the tarmac.
and whoever put my bike back together i think i forgot to say thanks
If that was you that went down on Tooley St that was me, no worries.

gutted i missed it...
was nice to bump into todd and others on their way there though.
i saw the proud display of white arrospokk and deep vs and thought "they must be on their way to the ride!!" -

I thought it was all going to end in tears after 2 punctures in the first 30 minutes, but thanks to Brian, Phil and Jonny for getting me back on track and not letting me give up and go home. Was my first ride and I'm really glad I stuck with it, thanks for sorting it and keeping the group together(ish) Dogs and Jonny. Awesome.

Great fun last night - loved the tunnel and the Greenway was a personal highlight...
How's cake's face? -
• #362
was my first ride and now i need more, my mates i bought along should be getting on here too.
best bits were def the tunnel and random racing usualy resulting in the front pack getting lost, or in 1 case resulting in taxi buggery. coming out on the next for sure. -

he was in A&E till bout 5 this morn i think. fine, but took ages to get seen, couple of chiped teeth and a bit of bruising. he did look good spitting blood on his socks tho you get any pics ?

What happened with the Taxi? Did someone cause the crash?
-
• #368
No, hillbilly saw it though. What happened, it seems, was that the guy in the A3 was too busy in cloud cuckoo land to notice that the taxi in front of him had stopped at a zebra crossing for some pedestrians. The guy in the A3 hit the back of the taxi pretty hard. Reckon his car is a write-off.
hillbilly provided contact details when we went back down, so it should all be sorted. Not caused by anyone on the ride as far as I heard, and no-one hurt.

Great ride, and thanks to dogsballs for organising (despite hitting me up the arse in the tunnel)!
Also to the 4 guys who staye with me while I tstruggled with my chain tugs in the dark after my rear blowout at Victoria Park. Don't know any of your names save that you are all friends of Build's. Ace riders and the Narrow Street hurtle and Canary Wharf circumvent were two of the Highlights. Thanks again guys!!!No worries dude, leave no man behind, and like you said playing catchup whipping along the river was good fun anyway.

Aahhh! I heard this accident but couldn't be bothered to turn around and see what the "bang" was. Probably for the best - I likely would have went into the back of someone in front of me.

WTF? when was this?
heading up to camden after the ride, pissed, had to stop suddenly, j [cake] slammed his front break and went over his bars. should be fine just looked butters tho. spouting blood.

what's really bothering me is that i drunkenly tucked into a kebab on the way home without really thinking, then when i finally got in and turned the lights on the same hand that had been five minutes before shoving bits of lamb into my mouth was covered in blood! lucky j seems like a clean-living sort of guy...
