roxy bad designer's flier was for the Birthday Party, it's made to be a tshirt and already fulfills the requirements of two-color.
no offense but please no clockwork orange or condescending "girls" on the t-shirt, you men are too modern for crap like that and the women here are above it.
RJM's component spoke card gets a second place from me. It's original, two-color and sharp.
The sheep and hipster is just something that's a bit rougher and more fun to wear. Not quite as "bike", if that makes sense.
clock work orange is one of the best books ever written.

well, whether it is, or whether it isn't, i can't see how it's in any way sexist - if that's what Roxy's saying, i'm not sure

Whether or not this is true I won't bother discussing, and I can also say that I enjoy the pace and cinematography of this film. That doesn't make it any less misogynistic nor does it make it have anything whatsoever to do with riding a bike or chatting on the interweb.

i don't think its misogynistic, just because it portrays rape, those passages are graphic and when you read it it makes you feel a bit ill. the message i got from the book is not go out and rape and rob people, it was this is what happens when in out society, this is what violent youth do for fun, and its taken a bit to an extreme. it also shows that none of the government, or opposition have any way of solving it.

Hello everyone I new in here, and I don't know if my opinion is as strong as other people, but...
+10 the flyer, slaughtered lamb flyer, is the nicest.

I don't think showing rape is misogynistic. I think the lack of a credible female character and that the majority of female characters are either rape victims, victims, or sculptures that are only good for providing milk to creepy men is.
Anyway, what does it have to do with fixed gear?

true it has nothing to do with fixed gear.
but, in the defence of the above design, it's from the book, not the film, and no one could argue that it's misogynisitic, surely -

Oh, i really hate the slaughtered lamb thing - just my tuppence worth!
i think it's cruel to animals, for a start.

every character in that book is a victim.
the lack of credible female characters exists in that book for the same reason there is a lack of credible gay/old/poor/rich/middle class/any thing else. Alex wants to feel good. drugs, fighting, and fucking make him fell good, so he takes what he wants with out caring what happens, then other people want some thing from Alex, and they take that from him. in the end he is back taking what he wants and that makes him happy. yes all of what Alex wants would be considered bad things, but the book never makes you think he is right in wanting them, or taking them.
and the poster was redesgined to make it have something to do with fixed gear and the interweb.

american psycho is probably next on my reading list, i never said i wanted to avoid that feeling.
also i thought the movie of Clock Work Orange was shite, they cut out a lot of good stuff and changed the ending Boo.

erm, ok. well I still don't want a lousy example of a human on my shirt...
as for cruel to animals, well, hmm, interesting point. I'm a vegetarian and thought of the design just because it would be ridiculous. Mostly I was thinking of it as a metaphor for hell-raising at the pub, like, trashing the place...
The sheep is also kinda a piss-take on the whole Easter thing itself. To have a party the day Jesus Is Risen is a bit sacrilegious, as is skidding through a friggin sheep. The whole modern day fixed gear thing is also such sacrilege, I think the two go great together.Plus it's just less obvious, not so obviously shouting "I ride a fixed-gear bike!!!!" but maybe the shirt should.
Who's up for more witty one-liners?!!?!!?

Not wishing to be a pedant but isn't a Clockwork do da misanthropic, well the character of Alex and all the droog chumps. Me I like the clown, but what do I know?

sorry I've not read every comment past page 5. That's because the T-shirt I really want you to print is The Slaughtered Lamb
In my opinion the messy type of the original is perfect. So is it being white-out on a black shirt. Don't mess with colours... That is piontless (and just costs more). It certainly doesn't need a 'tidy' up. It's great. And if it is a rip-off that's just even better.
Perhaps VB would set-up a Paypal so I can buy 2xboney runt size shirts pretty please.

I still like the 'service medal concept'. Maybe the design can be improved a little bit but the idea is simple, clever and makes sense. 1 year and getting so many people involved really is an achivement.
The sheep image is a great drawing but it basically relates to the party location / name of the pub. So without that on a t-shirt it is taken out of context and doesn't really make much sense in the long view. Also I feel sorry about the sheep. Not all fixed gear riders are hell-raisers, I ride very careful and think sheep are cute.
Anyway, just my view.

Had a play with the CBGB idea combined with a few comments from other folk.
I have always loved the CBGB shirt. I'd like to own a LFGSS one.
Could change the text around whichever way, and if it's too small to see, the holes are nuts and the registered R's are arrospoks. -

why is a clockwork orange a problem for women then?
