I liked when the barman moved the benches back then came over and said that he had a couple of spare d locks inside, if anyone needed to borrow them.

Yeah, its a good biker friendly pub that one, and generally noisy enough anyway to not make us stand out

Serves me right for having 6 or 7 pints the first day back.
Tits.
Out with the touch up paint.
leave the paint in the tin richie. the BJ looks awesome dude and great to see you back out there riding. hope you didn't take a hit from the fall.

I'm not sure i can make it next monday unless i can convince the girlie to come along... might try and build her a small singlespeed this week, anyone got spare bits n pieces going spare/cheap for a 5'8 girlie?
I have a set of drops and a quill stem that came off of my other old raleigh road bike, they're a bit scratched up where I tried to unsuccessfully remove the bars from the stem, but there's nothing actually wrong with them, you can have em for free (or a pint) they are sitting on top of my wardrobe gathering dust
I also have a ladies brooks saddle for sale..but thats quite new so would want dorrar for that

Cool! Thanks Clefty, bars and stem would be ace :) How much dorrah for the saddle? I'll price it up and see if i can afford it.

Bobob I've got some stronglight cranks / chainring and some shitty wheels if you want too. Might need to do some bashing to get the bottom bracket out, but its all sitting in the ginnel next to my house.

Cheers chris, yep sounds cool, pm me a price and again if it's within budget i'll have 'em :)
She's gonna ride fixed like it or not!!!!! :)
I think i'm nearly there... just need a frame, what size would be good for a 5'8" girl?

oh i think i have some flat pedals as well you can have. Thanks Claire, you're a star, ok, bar and stems it is then! I'll see how i get on with a saddle from the goodie bin of snowy later, if i can't find one then i'll email ya and take this off you too.
Claire, this might be a daft question but is there anything i need to look out for for a girlie setup or is exactly the same as a chaps?
btw, i can meet you anywhere, i can cycle to tower hill after work or meet you wherever :)

As far as girlie setup goes, I dont think so, as long as the frame is the right size I dont think it makes any difference, only thing i can think of is maybe reach on bars?? But I'm tall and have monkey arms so cant comment. I'll try and bring em in tomorrow if I'm cycling, then i can run them over to you at lunchtime - I'm a busy birthday bee this week so am out every night after work. Do you want the pedals as well? I'll never use em.

What's the skinny on the burgers? Does the 2 for 1 exist? What was the meat like? Hand made or pre-fab?
-
• #698
hand made, chargrilled, medium rare.
2 for 1.
I had two, just for myself 16oz of beef brought about the meat sweats
I'd do it again, too.
