Whatever. I once came back home at 9.45 with Mccarthief. We were the last forumengers.
Anyway Miles (if you want your hoodie back) I'll be your burger buddy. Jay can chew on that innertube of his that he'll get back. How cruel! Jay had already lured me as his burger buddy by whispering sweet nothings to me via PM.

I thought I was doing a good job at stealth stalking dressed in normal clothes and without the goggles. Would have liked to have joined in but had no money and a bus home to catch

Well too stealthy for me as I could not be bothered to remove my fat arse from the sofa.
Also the shoulder is sore and I can't drink or smoke smoke or eat a burger and chips so instead of being moody I have enjoyed the sofa.

Well was a semi-stealth visit by myself! nice to see burgers are still good, fecking freezing outside.
Nice to run into some old friends, and meet new people as well!

Believe its a canadian lynx, you can tell by the tufts on ears. But no idea if its also known as a snow leopard in other places.

I've got 10 miles to go to these drinks, and you have less than a mile to go.
You make me feel better in my lazyness.

True, true.
I'm rearranging my hard disk drive*, waiting for G to finish work, and then i'll swoop Skoota-esque for a late beer.

The football and burger fiasco could've spoilt a fun night, but thankfully the denizens of Souths drinks rallied to the cause and prevented it from doing so. Good to see so many folks out on the first cold night of the winter.
Best wishes to Jimbilly today, I hope your days of pain are over very soon.

A good night, L&Gs. Nice to see you all.
I keep thinking about DJ's 'I fucking love cycling' shout, I wanted to shout it last night and on my way in this morning. I think not-drinking is doing funny things to me.

You neglected to mention that it's full of cunts though (murtle excepted, obviously).

cup full of win = McCarthy's Baileys Tea
I made some for MOC when I got home - he loved it.
I will commandeer MOC's Uber-TV-Be-Gone in case of this situation again. You can turn off TV's from the other side of the road with it.Although Hamsandwich's and my burger was great - the rest of the evening was a burger fiasco. They completely fucked up Jimbilly and Socks order and several others, to the point where they had to get a refund - I dont know whether it was because it was a busy night last night, or that there wasn't anyone senior on, but if this continues I think someone should have a word in Steve's shell-like.
The barmaid was very apologetic, but to be honest fucking useless.Nice to see a few long lost faces last night as well.
Nhatt - South Side Food and Comics night - Let's do this!
Jim - good luck today, see you on Thurs xxx

You're right Clefty. I rode down from St John's Wood after a really difficult session on personal stuff, looking forward to a relaxing burger and pint in good company - and it was chaos. I couldn't even get a pint because there were only two staff when the waitress fucked off to Costcutter to stock up on god knows what - let alone order food. So I fucked off home.
Steve hasn't been in the place since he opened his new pub. He thinks it's in good hands - it's OK when it's quiet, but they can't cope with a rush. The staff turnover is quite high and no one seems to be in charge. I don't know if her ever reads this thread, if not, we should have a word.

Or just move to the Trinity / Effra / somewhere else?
-

I think it's only fair to give them a chance to sort things out, the pub was very busy last night after all, presumably because of all the plastic scousers in watching their team struggle again. Monday night football is increasingly rare these days.
Ha!
