I was just there!

Loved the burst of rain on the way home. So much so that I stripped down to my under crackers when I got there and stood in the garden, revelling in the strident incandescence of lightning and the majestic swells of thunder.

Also, it was a great to see everyone and have loads of genuinely fascinating conversation.

Think Ada might have been caught in the sudden downpour that started thrumming as I arrived home.

Hoping she was quick enough to avoid the super heavy lightning and thunderstorm that occurred later and kept me awake for a good half an hour. High winds and heavy heavy rain. Felt like I was in the tropics..

Ps good talks last night, excellent burgers and nice to see people again..

Got totally soaked before I even got to clapham common.

I was thinking of you riding with that frame strapped to your back through the thunder storm but you were lucky to escape it.

Shame I missed it, totally cream crackered after Dynamo catering fatigue and a long monday at TRL in Bracknell riding round and round their test roads, in temperatures nearing the mid thirties!

Cold shower, eat, fall asleep with my nipper, then into my bed. Yikes. I'm old.

I like Mashton's tale of hanging out in the garden in his grundies in the storm. I slept through it all, except for waking for a moment from the sound of rain on the roof and windows. So fresh.
