He already has. The prospect of stealing other people's Guinness was too much of a temptation.

T'was pretty good. Shame about the shite/undercooked/overcooked burgers and flat beer across the board

Short and sweet, sadly the fish was off, but was replaced by chorizo awesomeness.
Next week I'm going for a sub 15 second brompton unfold. -

Well done for making the trip Murts, and good to see so many friendly faces.
'till the next time. Oh, and I ordered my burger "bleu" so was pleased that they were so stingy with the gas. -

rowhan, if you have issues with the food, take it up with the staff, Jack had a burger that was undercooked in the extreme, took it back and they exchanged it happily.
These things happen sometimes, for various reasons and none of them are done deliberately to make any of us have a bad burger, and if you don't tell them nothing changes, and if all you do is come on here and lazily complain to us, then what do you expect to change? The majority of us have had far greater good burgers than bad, and also if Jack had no issue with the service he got over his undercooked and then exchanged burger who are you to vent on his behalf?
I'll say this one last time to be clear, if you personally have issue with the quality of the food let them know. If you have issue with the beer, flatness, quality, availability let them know, in person at the time and let them effect change. I'd much rather talk about the good times I had with the good people I know than have to rebutt your flaming of the establishment that we've called home for a long while..

this still at the coach and horses? when's next one? I might come and lurk. grew up in clapham and still drink at the prince of wales, old town, when I get the chance. Is there somewhere civilised to simultaneously smoke and drink?
-
• #12012
william, front of the coach and horses has ample outside space to drink and smoke, it's where most people end up if it's not too cold, or wet..
see you next monday?

ok, cool, I'll be the one who you're not sure if its me or not

I second that corny. I once had a g&t where the tonic was not up to scratch and didn't say anything, Steve noticed and got very upset I hadn't told him and had a new drink on the bar before I even turned round! Me and Jim have had one or two burger hiccups (out of how many years, and hundreds of burgers!? hah) and Steve and James have always gone out of their way to make up for it when we have mentioned it. So speak up!
Sorry to have missed souths, but was exhausted and ended up back in the Wick. Quicker we can pack, the quicker we can become proper southies finally!

The veggie burger was awsome and I forgot to tell the staff!
I loved south beers last night, chilled out and fun and an interesting lecture on German language and Japan and its people.

Bloody hell, calm down.
Just saying, the Heineken, Amstel & Kronenbourg I had were all flat, as were a few other peoples. The Heineken also tasted bitter. It was a pretty bad show to be fair but anyway I'm sure it's just a one off.
Jacks Burger on the other hand, not my place to complain to the staff, but uncooked burger mince can be dangerous. His burger was uncooked... not really acceptable is it?

The point being made (if you actually read what Andrew said) is that you should complain then and there and not once you've got home... Simple...
Steve and James will always rectify any issue you have immediately...

Yes, and I did complain about the beer, but not the burger as it wasn't my place.

It strikes me it's not your place to complain about it here either... If you don't like something, vote with your feet...

I mentioned the beer was flat, after drinking 3 different pints, and the guy said "it shouldn't be"
so then said I'll have a cider because of it. -

Good point actually.. I shall sip the finest dark rum next week. The beer was..... uninspiring
I'll go home, feed the cat, then see how I feel.
Better?
