Great night as usual.
Steve has confirmed that we can have the upstairs room for a Christmas Party on Friday, 17th December.
Digger kindly agreed to sort out a disco set, and I think he will be speaking to the usual suspects, to organise a play list. If you are interested in joining in, please let him know.
I had notions of a bring and share buffet, but wonder how practical this will be on a chilly night, days before the holidays. I am thinking we will have enough to do, organising ourselves and bikes on a winters night, but again if anyone has any strong views either way, happy to hear them.
spread the word folks. It would be great to have an excellent showing from across this wonderful city and to celebrate another year of cycling adventures.
Excellent! (Disco?)

^ Bah... My only recommendation for that would be to have it a day earlier so I can make it.

hmmm . OT a bit, but anyone got any pro-tips for attaching a built up wheelset to the back of a bag? other than magnets? which no one knows how they work anyway?

used inner tubes work well as bungees to strap wheels to bags, then just double knot them
Use the straps on your mission bag to go through the spokes on each side, then tighten them up - then you can use a 'tube' strap for stability -

Sort your life out!
I'll be 30,000 in the air in an old, poorly maintained aeroplane on Friday night. The upside is I'll be heading towards sun, cold beers and warm ocean.

I loop the straps through ala Claire's recommendation and then add duct tape. Remember not to split between traffic on the way home, you'll be a bit wider than normal.

Remember not to split between traffic on the way home, you'll be as wide as that stroker BRM

^^This also means you get more space than normal from passing traffic
which is nice.

Hmm, I do sound a bit like a patronising parent there. I clipped my ankle on a bumper between lanes on Friday so was in a caring for my fellow man mood for a little while there.
Not any more though..
