I gave it a rattle as you suggested and tried to work out what was going on (physics not being my strong point) and its more that it is pressing down on the spoiler (and needs to bypass it) for the garage door to open.

Help is on the way and at some point in the morning someone will attempt to roll under the bit of garage door that does open and move the car.
