The concern that countries allowing pornography and liberal anti-obscenity laws would show increased sex crime rates due to modeling or that children or adolescents in particular would be negatively vulnerable to and receptive to such models or that society would be otherwise adversely effected is not supported by evidence. It is certainly clear from the data reviewed, and the new data and analysis presented, that a massive increase in available pornography in Japan, the United States and elsewhere has been correlated with a dramatic decrease in sexual crimes and most so among youngsters as perpetrators or victims.
"i only deal in facts, that's why i'm a cocky motherfucker!"
that talk about "sexism and the system" is later today, i'll let you know if i become a raging sex-negative feminist.

after i'm done i'll be spouting such bullshit as this:
Seduction is often difficult to distinguish from rape. In seduction, the rapist often bothers to buy a bottle of wine.
also, libertarianism need not be rightwing [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_libertarianism"]..[/ame].

You seem to be contesting that rape is the only negative effect pornography may have on society.
No, we're not starting this discussion again, I'm just gonna walk away now...

no i'm not. that study says that society in general is not adversely affected, not just rape.

Whoah, this is the East End BEERS thread, not the East End RAPISTS thread. Take your rapey thoughts elsewhere....

Porn's for wankers.

this sounds good, i've read the queues are long, so which is the best night for a forum curry?
It's always going to be busy but if you book you generally have to wait about 15mins to be seated but it's totally worth it!

Gordon, do you know where to get the best curry in Whitechapel? Haven't had one here yet and the amount of curry places around here is ridiculous... I couldn't try them all if I had one a day for life...
Tayyabs is good, but not (IMHO) quite as good as the reputation would have you believe, with the exception of the lamb chops which are indescribably good.
My favourite is the cheap and unassuming Kolapata opposite the Blind Beggar. The haleem is particularly ace. So much so that I'm tempted to go and get some despite having just eaten.

Sad that the Mirch is no longer all that, last went nearly a year ago, how long do you reckon it's been on the wane?
Have to check out steff's suggestions cos it's good to have a decent curry place to go to on spec without schlepping all the way up to Southall.

I'm going to get a curry on Monday. I'm way too easily influenced.

Another fine choice of pub. I'm back from drinking substantial quantities of Efes in 30°C sunshine by the pool and ready for some ale in the 5°C darkness of London's famous London.

Don't think I can make it this week, meeting my old flatmate and Wednesday is the only night he can do. If I can pop along earlier or later though I will. Am I right in thinking it doesn't have a late licence?
