And who told me, that there's still a connection between the Old Ford and the Carpenters Rd?!
Got friggin' lost in between some warehouses and moored boats - cut off from civilisation by a high fence of the Olympic site!
It took me an hour to get home. I had to go through Hackney Wick (at least it wasn't Homerton at midnight, because I'd probably come back without a bike).Twas me, but carpenters road has been commandered for the olylympics. There is a route but you have to do a lenght of the A11. I'll try and explain better later on.

I know it was you - just didn't want to point the finger :-)
I found the way between the warehouses next to the Wick station and the through the housing estate to Eastway. It's still safer road than going next to Kingsmead estate and Hackney Marshes, as few people I know had their bikes taken away at night in that area. -

Tonight's extravaganza of booze and mayhem (tea, coffee and polite conversation for the non drinkers) should begin early to catch the sun.
Is the weather supposed to be nice this evening? We can has our beers outside?
Might bring a couple of cigars if so.Who's up for a TT later?
I quite liked the mass start one we did last week.

"No hills" poster above.
Any danger of BQ being a Tory in that outfit?Hills my Eastern brethren are very good for you, however might be the reason why Easts trounced everyone in last week's compass drinks...
-
• #4961
Arvy, get out of this thread. Nothing for you here
-
• #4962
Owne, are you trying to do all the compass points?
-
• #4963
Watch out for Owen and Arvy. Owen will eat his pizza then wont pay for it leaving others to pay for it once he has gone. And Arvy steels crosants off the plates of old ladys while they go to get milk for there tea. I dont theink either of them could be trusted in a combat situation.

Why the weather can't be like yesterday? (my wife will be at home today, so I think I'm in)
-
• #4969

-
• #4970
I just prefer to climb a hill before relaxing with a beer and a fag, you never know I may pop in someday
-
• #4971
Be good to see you Marlon, it's been a while.
Arvy - check the tweed run thread. Skully posted that picture of me with a quote from the person shouting out "Oh look it's the tory party." When I saw the Cameron poster thread I thought I'd run with it :-)
Kris, do come. I must buy you a pint.
Clara, if you want to get knackered to earn your beer we can do a TT. You may borrow my Raleigh Chopper for extra knackeredation.

Another night off.
I'll be there for a few...
Be good to see a few norths there,
don't let Owen put you off. -
• #4973
Sweet. Be good to see you Joe.
I get the impression Norths didn't really happen yesterday, and South Easts was empty by 10:30.
Sounds like they both need a drink tonight then. -
• #4974
Um I think you'll find Norths was rocking as per with over 20-30 people in attendance! We are just alcoholics. :)

• #4975
