im out for tonight im afraid. I have official work drinks on tonght and it will be a long and arduous trip.

If I eat on the way home then I get in really late and go to bed with full stomach, which I don't find massively pleasant. Can't speak for everyone but i would assume for many the case is the same.

What I am proposing is that we put our heads together and find an eatery that is relatively local, where we can all roll up between 10 and 11pm after a few pints and get a good meal for under a fiver.

If I pick up some food on the way home and eat it when I get back, it's so late that I need to get to bed straight away. If I eat before going home, I have at least a small window of digestion before going to bed. Might sound a bit daft but it seems to make all the difference.

Unfortunately not. Working tonight, then straight to Kent, back in London tomorrow for physiotherapy, back to Kent again, then back in London for camping trip this weekend.

However... It's my birthday next week, and I'm in London. So next Wednesday is a definite for me.

On a more serious note it was a good demographic tonight with wives and friends, newbies, middletons and proper veterans in attendance. A grand evening if there ever was one.

On a much more serious and somber note, I went up to the spot of the fatality before settling down in the pub. As I arrived there were two older ladies tending to the flowers who looked at me caring yet worriedly as I stopped to pay my respects. Next to where I was standing a young lady died earlier today and I left there with a tear in my eye - the fact it happened several hours earlier and right near where I celebrate my right to roll the streets every week really hit home.

Rest In Peace.
